Been doing that forever for all my fruits and veggies using sea salt and any vinegar making the water real salty especially if i dont have vinegar

Every time I used to do this method, they rot by the next day. So I use baking soda when I get ready to eat my berries.

I saw a video that a spanish scientific guy he said that the best way to wash is boiling water at certain temperature and then summerge the berries in that water for like 2 minutes and supposedly thats the correct way to kill any bacteria and will help them last more

I used to wash my fruit like this but then I read somewhere that the vinegar can interact with the pesticides and that it’s best to rinse fruit in water only

I do this, I rinse, dry, and put them in a Mason jar. They last WAY longer. But my kids eat them so quick, they never last that long lol

I agree with the other comments. Best to wait until you’re ready to consume to wash. Otherwise it will start to spoil quicker from my experience.

I wash my fruit in vinegar and lemon juice right away, and they last much longer.
