I recall Alain Menu putting a sister car over the fence at Oulton Park, these engines were close to detonation with the compression ratio - a great race engineering era.

"equipped with one of the very first 7-speed Gearboxes" AFAIK Ford for the Escort Cosworths had a 7 speed (double H) in the early - mid 90s.

Nice to see one of Berg-cup legendary cars in action.Spectacular in every way imaginable.STW cars are really something special.I remember when Croatian aces Branko Krstulović and Robert Bradarić battled in Croatian championship back in the day in their Vectras.
Man,those cars where quite a sight.Just like this one is.

I was obsessed with BTCC back in late 90’s and early 00’s. Menu, Rydel, Plato, Thompson & Neal fighting it out very fortnight. I remembered watching it live at oulton park and on the first corner Kelvin Burt Burring it into the barrier and his carbon fibre splitter nearly took our heads off. I offered my mate £50 for it at the time, and he didn’t take it

I love the look of the Laguna as well as everything else. Why did they not make a good road going version? By all accounts the standard Lagunas were awful to drive
