Was quick and turned out alright, gonna replace my valve gasket soon so thanks for this video! Good content man, keep it up

are the two spots you did a close up on the only spots i need the hondabond sealant on?
April 28 2025
You made a comment about Honda bond sealant do you need to put something other than gasket
April 28 2025
I like this setup. No talking, detailed shots, thorough such as wiping away from engine and using duster to blow debris off valve cover, torque specs etc...well done

Thanks a lot, i did mine today. Some tips, always disconnect negative battery terminal, and properly check if the seal is sitting flush. I didnt disconnect the battery and it started giving me codes and misfire. Luckily also saw the seal little bit out of place on the right side below the rubber pipe, its a tricky area. Had to remove and fix twice and its all fine now.

Every automotive DIY on YouTube needs to be edited this way. THANK YOU!!!

Man talk about a simple video and a great walkthrough. I was gifted a little 08 civic that needs a little love but overall runs great, I noticed the gasket is leaking a little so this is a perfect video for getting that replaced.
April 28 2025
Great video! Only question I have is does the Honda Bond go all the way around?
April 28 2025
Can you tell me the name of the tube that you remove at around 1:09?
April 28 2025
Great video, I am going to try this out this weekend or next and this will be a great help.

Does the 1.8 have the "Cylinder Head Plug" that could also leak oil? Im getting ready to order parts and r/r the valve cover gasket on my 1.8, but noticed that the 1.7 has a plug located on passenger side suspiciously where i have a leak that my alternator is shooting straight up.
April 28 2025
Legit the best video haha. Anything special I need to remove the Hondabond or just scrape it off
April 28 2025
Great video! Is it necessary to let the Honda bond cure before driving or can you just crank and go?
April 28 2025
Just trying to figure it out bc nobody has said anything. Do you want to leave the car sit over night? For the sealant to harden on the gasket?
April 28 2025
Best video on changing this gasket. No music, no BS talking, and perfectly clear video. Thank you!
April 28 2025
Great video! I had a question that might sound dumb but I recently topped off my oil, do I have to drain it to access this area?
April 28 2025
I have a Honda accord 2009 with this same engine R20A3 got it with 199k used. i discovered that the coolant has a milky surface and my research point to blown head gasket which will cause oil to leak into the radiator.
please confirm this is the head gasket or is there any other gasket?
note: my engine does not misfire neither does it overheat

Anyone have any experience with one of the valve cover bolts snapping with part of the bolt down in the threads?
April 28 2025

April 28 2025
And this folks is what a great video looks like, no chatter, no nonsense, step by step, cut and dry. Great video, thanks for posting it.

Very well made tutorial. We dont need to see you take out every bolt, but its nice to see you touch every bolt.
Such a smart way of saving time while getting the needed info out.

I really like this video no talking straight to it I liked shared and subscribed !!!!
April 28 2025
Best of all videos. I’m a little bit confused about how and where to apply Hondabond sealant?
April 28 2025
So the small bolts broke when I tried to take them off. Any link to replacements I can’t find them anywhere
April 28 2025
I did the same thing but it feels like air is escaping from the edge of the lid. Do you put sealant on the entire gasket? Or does it need to be tightened more? thank you
April 28 2025
i forgot remove the oil dipstick and i yanked the cover off and snapped it...the bottom part went into the block...$375 to get it out by removing the oil pan
April 28 2025
Saved me from spending 300$ at the mechanic saying it was 300$ job
April 28 2025
man wtf these other comments are getting quoted $300 - $400?? I just got quoted, just for this job alone, $1200.
while im not doing that obviously, i dont really trust myself with removing that many parts
April 28 2025
