Make sure your humidifier is on a firm, level, water resistant surface, at least 12 inches from the wall. Always make sure the float paddle is properly installed before filling the tank. To install, line up the float paddle with the shape on the bottom of the reservoir, and firmly press over both brackets until you hear it click in place. The humidifier tank can be filled in one of two easy ways. -To fill the tank at the humidifier, pour water directly into the tank opening. -To fill at the sink, remove the water tank and fill with water. The tank can be filled with the tank cover in place, or removed. Be sure to replace the cover before using. Never add essential oils to the water tank. Doing so could cause damage to the tank and void the warranty. Next, plug the humidifier in. Press the power button. For the push button humidistat on the HEV615 model, press the moisture output buttons to adjust the fan speed up and down. Adjust the humidity control buttons to set the desired level for personal comfort. When the set humidity level is reached, the blue light will turn on and the humidifier will turn off. When the humidity drops below the set level, the unit will turn back on. For the digital humidistat on the HEV620 model, press the moisture output buttons to adjust the fan speed. Press the humidity control arrows to set the desired humidity level. 40 to 60% is the ideal humidity level. When the button is released, the current room humidity level is displayed. When the humidity level is reached, the blue light will turn on and the humidifier will turn off. When the humidity drops below the set level, the humidifier will turn back on. If desired, press the timer button to set the timer. The unit will turn off after the timed cycle. When the filter reset light turns on, check the filter. For all models, remove the wicking filter slowly, to allow excess water to drain. Open the cartridge and flip the filter to prevent dry out. Replace the filter when necessary.
