I definitely remember while blueberries. If my grandmother was going to bake a pie, we had to pick a whole coffee can full. It took forever.

I was pretty old when I was first introduced to cultivated blueberries, did not know they existed. We just to to the nearest forest and pick the wild ones when they are in season, they freeze remarkably well. Cultivating blueberries still feels weird, why go through all that trouble when you can get them everywhere for free.

For one, they are smaller and two, just slice one. The cultivated "canadian" blueberries are green on the inside, wild blueberries are dark purple all the way inside, also way juicier.
As a central European, I only encountered "farm" blueberries in the last few years. Ours always came from the forest

If you stored wild blueberries in a Pokeball or domesticated them magically, would they still work for the recipe? I was also hoping to swap out the flour for hot sauce.

There are farm blueberries that are super small and great for baking, easy to pick. Rancocca...can find at a good farm supplier.

They are difernt berries. The wild ones are Vaccinium myrtillus and the other ones are Vaccinium corymbosum.
