Hercules ultra torque beats the new high torque DeWalt by couple hundred lbs breakaway torque.

Come on dewalt. Give us truck guys the 1" extended anvil tire gun we need

April 22 2025

3
  straightjab3803

One thing to note is even with same model brand batteries etc some impacts are going to have higher outputs for some reason ive tested lots of impacts including the new dewalt nothing has come close to my rigid

April 22 2025

DEWALT has been nailing their impact wrenches as of lately

April 22 2025

Phenomenal video, dewalt has my attention, seeing as some of the best tools out are released under their brand with the 4.5” atomic saw the rear handle flex volt the new mid and high torque & actually even the smaller ones performed well.

Just to put this in perspective. I recently bought the outgoing DCF 899 new for 1/2 the old sticker price. It easily undoes and over tightens 4x4 wheel nuts on setting 2 of 3, and doesn’t destroy my impact sockets too…

Does anyone know where the xgt high torque ranks on this list these days?

I will never buy another half inch drive over price snap on impact gun I do have a lot of snap on and Mac cordless tools and hand tools but I did get the new DeWalt half inch drive and I like it

I own one of these, blows away my pneumatic gun, and fits easily into almost any space

April 22 2025

  CrazyxxxUkraine

I bought this thanks to this video I don’t have a 1/2 drive Milwaukee but do have the 3/4 and it kills but also don’t need all that all the time and I’ll say it’s almost too strong for a half inch need to run it in 3 when tightening things to a 1/2” spec

April 22 2025

  HVACR_ToolNut

You should try milwaukee impact wrenches, and drivers with a battery adapter that goes to the flex batteries and see if the milwaukee tools get any better numbers!

Would the Makita TW001GZ 40v be more powerful than this?

April 22 2025

The most powerful impact ever made until the upcoming DCF901 lol, I remember when I bought my DCF899 yes!!! it was the most powerful ever made

How u going to not show the max run in reverse with the 6 ah.knowing what it really puts out in forward is all good and I want to know but I care more about what it really puts out in reverse

  deltatango3653

I. Just got this in the kit, charger 5ah batt. Bag for..... wait for it!.... $220.00 at D&B"s DeWalt days! But they have it for $250.00 normally. You can get it in the kit cheaper than bare tool. Weird!

April 22 2025

  jamesstreeter2565

You mentioned in cordless ratchet video about buying one because its your battery line. What does all of the data show across a line. Does miluakee cordless tools fare better then dewalt cordless Or is there another brand fare better? Mac vs matco and snap on?

dcf 900 could u redo this test and do each mode so guys like me know if mode 1 is actually 100ft pounds tightening?

April 22 2025

Now the new one they sampled to TTC is even more (much more) badass. DeWalt should sell a splined version with 3/4" and 1/2" square drives because square drive is a hand tool legacy far inferior to splines. (Big boy spline impact test when??)

my dad sent me a photo of a dewalt that had snapped of the shaft inside the other day, we may be getting to a point where we are at the limits of what a 1/2 inch can take. just the damage that its doing to a impact socket is insane

So I wanted a cordless impact. To be able to work on my car. Ended up getting the Milwaukee bundle with bag and battery. It’s great i got a bit too happy and snapped off a lug.

Would you recommend this for removing axel nuts.

  SPEEDYGUN

Awesome video. Which battery would you recommend with this? I see two kits, one on Amazon and the other at Home Depot for basically the same price, but each with a different battery. One comes with a Powerstack 5.0 Ah and the other comes with a 20v XR 5.0 AH.

I assume those who bought the SnapOn CT9080 are happy that their tool costs 4x more than the DCF900 which delivers the same (or more ) torque...

Would the Ingersoll rand not be the best as claims are to be more breakaway torque

April 22 2025

5
  ronenton4037

I have the Ridgid and it died in less than a year of daily use 95% was sedan and 1/2truck lugnuts. Rigid/Home Depot must have changed warranty policy bc they refused to warranty it at store(had done it no problem before). Trying to go through Ridgid online and phone has been a pain. Likely will try this Dewalt next

i had a milwaukee tool user use my dewalt dc899b because his impact was across the plant, i had a low battery on it and when he goes to use it and it doesnt work to his liking he goes "typical dewalt", i checked the battery and got a new one and it busted the bolt loose no problem, he didnt have shit to say

April 22 2025

I run a 6 on mine and it is noticeably more powerful than the 5ah

If having only one of these in the workshop, would you go for the DCF900 or DCF891? I imagine I might want the 900 for the odd big bolt now and then, or is it "too bulky" the rest of the time?

April 22 2025

Just purchased a DCF900N. Great to have this and other very positive reviews to base my decision on.

I have the cheapest Dewalt 1/2 drive impact (400ftlbs) and the DCF900...I have to use the 900 often on the rear seat bolts on Dodge and Ford Trucks and recently on the exhaust on a nissan maxima...The 900 got all of the bolts and nuts off except for one that I had to use a long extension...For that one a had a 2.5 foot half inch rachet with another 2 foot bar stuck on the end....Just when i thought the ratchet was going to explode or something was going to break if finally started to move...

April 22 2025

5
  MasterQuack14

You literally chose every low quality dewalt battery. The 9ah and 15ah use the same cells, so why did you feel the need to use the most over exaggerated battery for this test? seems disingenuous...

My 900 already failed at less then 6 months very disaponted. Parts are on back order too. I usually use it on 15/16 and 1 1/8 bolts. What would you recomend for air impacts to use until it is repaired?

i may be buying me one these dewalts to try out cause my milwaukee is starting to have some sort of electrical issue and its only 3 years old, where my old dewalts are still going after a decade being used at the same time, i have both dewalt and milwaukee and i just dont think they’re gonna be worth the slightly better torque if im gonna need a new one every couple of years

lol those 180 foot pound bolt with a 19mm head on Hondas (even with a special super thick wall socket that maintains torque superior to a standard impact socket) has stalled out my ingersoll Rand 2135TI pneumatic impact on more than one occasion- that gun has an 1,100 foot pound breakaway torque rating.

I have that Milwaukee gun and I barely use it actually still to strong on regular use stuff. I have to use one less with 650 nut busting power on everyday stuff like changing zero turn blades and lug nuts wheels on cars.

Funny, the acceleration, torque, and reliability of a electric car make 35% of us act like we are getting forcibly circumcised, how evil batteries and passive solar/wind that can power them. But put that technology in our hands over a steam powered air compressor and we have discovered gold. Time to quit acting like change is evil.

April 22 2025

5
  ascendantrobin3230

taking off lug nuts with a breaker bar so regularly just seemed torturous. the DCF900 was wel worth the money. for automotive work its maybe overkill. i want the mid-range torque model as it is a smaller and lighter tool, while still having plenty of power. my 2 ¢

I tried to use with with some large 3/4 and 1inch drive sockets and its not strong enough. I can hold the socket by hand and it stops. I will sell it and buyvthe habor frieght 3/4 inch drive ajd try that
