Thank you Tech Steve i am planning to buy a new TV (i have a dinosaur at the moment) I am thinking of buying Samsung as I have a Samsung phone. I wanted to know the difference between the 7100 and 7000 series. you have left me with food for thought so to speak.

On mine just above the Samsung logo there is a bit of plastic. I accidentally hit it and it had started to come off. Please could someone tell me if it needs to be on or not because it is annoying. It is the exact same tv

The ru7100 is crap, I always had Sony and it never gave me problems, I changed to this Samsung and the warranty year is barely fulfilled, after ten days it began to give problems, several horizontal lines appear that make the images ugly, I have to pay the I fix and know if it has a solution because in various forums they say no ... Conclusion: cheap is expensive, I will never buy Samsung again, I will go back to Sony that never gave me failures.
