It's not a great tip, because it IS a polish and at night it affects the way light filters in through the windshield and blurs one's vision. I tried it and I do NOT recommend this.

Are you sure? My wipers were squeaking terribly and I had them replaced. First swipe and those new wipers squeaked just as loud as the ones I replaced. It's driving me crazy!

Try this before polishing . Get Barkeepers Friend looks like Bon Ami or Ajax but will not scratch glass. Make a thick solution in a bowl with water rub it on , let dry, buff off. Removes dug in particles of smog , road grime etc...Now polish

It helps but it doesn't actually solve the problem. I bought Nu Finish at Walmart for about $10 and applied over and over. It helped but they still squeak. If you try this, keep your expectations low.

Rotate your blades 180 degrees, if you can. The far end travels more and wears out otherwise and you are getting same usage from both sides.

Clean the wiper blades with wd40 with a towel and than polish the windshield to get better results I do it once every 6 months and when I return my 3 years lease they are still in a great working condition

I do that every time I wax my vehicles I polish the windows with new finish and I wax my car by four or five times in the summertime so there’s a nice shine throughout the winter months my also my truck

It’s called clean the spent oil residue from all the other cars off the window then maybe polish it to help
Makes sense because they need to be clayed or polished to remove the bonded grit you cant see- same as the paint. Just waxing puts a coating on top of a gritty surface and doesn't solve the problem on its own
