This video goes over how to replace the high pressure fuel pump on a BMW N20 engine. Specifically, the BMW e89 Z4 I'm working on has had issues starting after sitting for under an hour and should stutter and choke while starting. Once started, it would run perfectly fine. This job will cost you close to $2000 if done at the dealer. Since no special tools are required for this job, it shouldn't cost you more than the couple hundred dollars that would be spent on the fuel pump itself and the gasket. Note: BMW recommends that the high pressure line must be replaced every time it is release from the HPFP.
