Interesting that they went through the effort to finish it in wine casks, and then tout it as a mixer. Thanks for reviewing this! I was quite curious about this one.

Over the years I have tried various wine cask aged single malts. I have found that anything other than sherry and port doesn’t work. Usually the wine overwhelmed the spirit. I had a few sauternes ACE’d single malts that kind of worked but in general I’m not a fan. Sounds to me like it doesn’t work on a blend either. I’m not sure I would have been tempted to buy based on my experience but thanks for the review anyway Jason.

If you compair this or black to age statement single malts in my area there are 6 agestatment single malts that I can get for cheaper then JW black so JW can take a hike off the plank when we are in the middle of the ocean, I will never by them again.
