For that price, build quality and that pen, you are better off buying a base iPad and an Apple Pencil

100%. At those price points you are far better with a dedicated tablet. The drawing experience is better, and the tablets can also be hooked up to PC or Macs if that’s what you want. A cheap PC and a screen tablet is gonna cost you around a grand, and for that price you already getting a flagship tablet that will run drawing apps far better

First thing I do with a drawing tablet that has touch is disable touch.

its really hard to a beginner choose this teck because there is no side by side comparition videos, also zbrush community told me that wacon pen is good but bug a lot, someone told me the XP is better

My biggest deal-breakers are parallax, line jitter and responsiveness.

A base Tab S8 is the same price...

In my place, this is a whopping *50%* pricier than the older Wacom One. At this price point the box should at least include a proper stand and a hotkey remote, or being 14" and including a hotkey remote. UPDATE: The price for value ratio of this thing gets even WORSE after Wacom released the Wacom Movink! Same screen size, touch screen, super thin, but the Movink has *OLED screen* and more quick key buttons, and only 33% more expensive.

Man i could understand why someone would rather use this for their computers power rather than a tablet but... that price youd be better off with an older model or getting a samsung tab or ipad.

Wacom is dropping the ball with these. Glad Huion and XP-Pen have stepped their game up to offer alternatives.

I am looking into getting a drawing tablet for digitizing for embroidery. Would you have information about specific hardware that would work well with the Embrilliance suite of digitizing software?

If the Galaxy tabs use the same pen technology as Wacom pens, does that mean we can use a Wacom (non-pro) pen on the Galaxy tabs? Do they perform the same on either? If so, what pens are better, as far as grip, button placement, and such? Should we get a Galaxy tab and a Wacom pen?

that price tag is a no go for me. so glad other companies make alternatives to wacom.

At this price you can get last gen Galaxy Tab S7-S8 tablets super cheap and have a much better native experience. If you want to connect it to a PC SuperDisplay is always an option.

If you want Wacom, at this price go and get a used Cintiq 16 or a 13HD Touch if you need touch.

Potentially stupid question: I have a Galaxy Tab S6 and I love it. It still works perfectly but it is getting up there in age so I will probably upgrade once the Tab S10 line comes around. Though I’m unsure whether I should upgrade to that, or to that Galaxy 360 Pro laptop (or hell, maybe an iPad if they really end up making a 16” one). The main reason is color calibration. Calibrating the screen on a laptop is easy. Is there any way to do the same on a tablet? Not talking about the sliders in the settings. I mean professionally calibrating it to the same degree you can on a Windows device

Hello sir! So someone else covered this new wacom touch tablet but i did not understood if you receive tablet along the cables and power supply. Or you just get tablet and rest you have to order separately?

Hey guys, review unclear: Does this tablet have have a touch screen in order to leapfrog their non-touch competitors?

  NightFoxZero

I’d probably pick up a higher end Samsung tablet at that price. I’ve been testing out the older 13 which I got for $180 been a few weeks now and I still just really don’t like it. The non-laminated display and god awful colors (not to mention activation force problems) have my looking up at my computer screen and using it like a normal drawing tablet more than I draw directly on it. Thinking of giving the Kamvas 16 a shot since it’s in the same price range with more features

Dedicated pen display tablets are still 10 years behind mainstream technology I see. Somehow Apple/Microsoft/android tablet manufacturers can put a whole computer and battery in a device thats much lighter and half as thick for a similar price as what Wacom is asking.

with that price and those functions I think I will choice Ipad and apple pencil

I thought Wacom had finally understood that every brand needs products in different price ranges, from affordable to expensive. I was really happy when they announced the Wacom one 13" and Cintiq 16. But they are being greedy, making their products crazy expensive again while their quality is going down. Disappointing but not surprising

Brad, I was kinda expecting this review to come out this way - so happy I bought the XPPen Artist Pro 16 Gen.2 a few weeks back instead of this (and cheaper!). Happy with the XP-Pen’s pen and appreciating the larger 16:10 and 2.5K screen…

As an artist who can’t live without touch gestures this looks right up my alley, but I’d still stick to my iPad. That is too expensive for it’s specs.

Budget 13 inch 600$ where 13 inch Ipad with much higher pixel density and can live remote costs used in perfect condition 200-250$. Or for 400-600$ you can buy Galaxy S8..

Great review, Brad! Your insights on the Wacom One 13-inch with a touch screen are quite valuable. Considering its price point and features, what do you believe sets the Wacom One 13-inch apart from its competitors in the budget tablet market?

I had the previous version of this model, the performance wasn’t bad, but the big amount of wires/cables made it so hard to move from one place to another. I sold it after 6 months, and got myself a base iPad with an Apple Pencil, I didn’t regret of my decision.

May 01 2025

This is a very poor offer from Wacom for $600 dollars. You’re better off getting a Samsung or an Apple tablet.

For that price, I could just buy a second-hand Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, the Super Display app, and have money to spare.

Hello! Currently own the Wacom Intuos Small Graphics Drawing Tablet. It’s definitely a challenge for me to draw and look at computer monitor. Could I take your class and gain knowledge with this tablet? I will eventually like a Screen tablet. Currently comparing product and prices. What do you recommend? Thank you

I found a Cintiq pro 13 (2016) used for 30% less than than wacom one 13 touch ( 2023). Will it be a better option? I really want the touch capability and the smaller form factor. I already have clip studio paint on my laptop.

Unless you absolutely need to use pc programs it would be better to get an ipad pro or galaxy tab which are stand alone devices.

Brad, please update the "Best Wacom Cintiq Alternatives" ranking on your website with the latest models you have tested. This type of ranking helps a lot to measure the pros and cons that you mention in your reviews on a scale with the direct competitors of the pen display we are interested in. It helps a lot, especially now with Black Friday coming up.
