The only change I would make is to keep the pump relay out until the job is complete.

I own a 03 focus wagon 2.3 i have relay removal pliers and pliers to remove the fuel line clips I also do many of these so the tools made for the job is much quicker also ways have spare clips on hand I have been servicing the focus since 04
