Hey man, thanks this is perfect. I got a 2014 frontier and it totally helped me. Very easily explained. Thank you.
The process is much worse on the new frontiers. You have to take the glove box assembly completely off and remove the fuse block.
What would you do if you broke the tab off?
Fuck i broke the tab. How can i fix it. The tab seems to be on the housing rather than the cover..
Great video. I have a 2019 and I of course broke the tab off first time changing it, I have to zip tie the cover now. 😂 Another things that happened to me the last time time I changed it, when I pulled the filters out there were pieces of acorns laying on top of the filters, so much so that that some fell down into the fan blower. I tried to get what I could out by hand but when I put the new filters in and turned on the the blower it sounded like it was going to vibrate the dash to death, I figured some of the pieces must of broke the fan blades, but after spending another hour taking the blower down and getting the pieces out it worked fine. Now I am guessing every time I change them, if I see a bunch of acorn pieces and some fall down in to the blower, I will have to remove it to get them out. 🤷♂ At least now I remember how to get the blower down, thankfully Nissan made it pretty accessible. Hope this has or does not happen to anyone else, not much I can do about the squirrels.
Are you certain about the air flow direction; I watched another video and they stated the arrows should be pointed up...just want to clarify. Thanks.
Very clear illustration, thank you. Keep it up
I am so glad i bought this pick-up dude, it's so easy to work on. The dealer wants to buy it back lol.
Absolute stupidity of a design!!! 10 second job turns into 30 fucking frustrating minutes and a bloody finger. And you practically have to destroy the replacements getting them in...🤮🖕🏽
Thanks that's helpful
Real good video! Easy to follow.
Damn mine didn’t had any air filter most likely
Thanks for the vid. I couldn't get the plastic cover off till I watched your demo. Appreciate it! 🇨🇦
Excellent , period .
Thanks.
So simple!! Yesterday, I picked up a 2019 Frontier from my neighbor.. it had only 11,900 miles. He is very old and never really drove it much at all. It was serviced by Nissan at recently so at 15k I will be changing oil, and cabin filter myself. This was very helpful.
Very helpful! Thank you!!
Thank you! Very helpful
Jesus christ! I paid to have these changed at a dealer. I wanna shut myself!
Not so easy on my 2017 frontier The fuse block is in the road.
Thank you for this video, I could not find “cabin filter” in my owners manual index so I went straight to this video. Poor design on the tab, why is it so brittle?
Thanks for making this video. I tried this the other day, and was thinking I'm going to break something getting to the filters, so gave up on what should be a very simple thing. I broke the tab today like you mentioned was a high probability, worked just fine. If tab completely breaks off next time, duct tape.🙂
The 1813P I bought did not fit the cabin at all. I’m so lost
Thank you!! 👍😀
That was the easy method I saw another video where the owner took off the screws, side panel, glove box, and even the door rubber installation a bit. Thanks again for your help. 😊
Good stuff. Thanks 👍
Thank you. We bought our 2009 Suzuki Equator pick up brand new. I just open to replace the cabin air filter but I discovered it never had two in. I tried to put the new filters in and it won't go in after the first one. Does it means that the company make them mistake?
I watched your video on mute and broke the clasp. Any hacks? I’ve secured it with electrical take for the time being.
Spot on, thanks, instructions were exact and my filters were dirty, trying to go down the list and get this a/c from cycling on and off randomly
I pissed off the Service Techs At my Nissan dealer when I laughed out loud in front of other customers when they recommended I change my cabin filter at 15k miles for "only $139". I said "NO...I think I can handle the $20 spend online, and 15 minutes of my own time." What a joke the stealerships are.
Excellent video. Very clear instructions.
Thanks
Thank you so much
It's super awkward for a right handed smal small hand person to get the cover of filter off.
Thank you for your sincerity, caring and your time for sharing information.
If the tab breaks off, could you use a bolt in the old location to hold it closed?
Domo Arigato Sensei! Japanese Truck now good.
Thank you so much!!
Perfect explanation, thanks!
Nice job…..clear….
Thanks for posting this video!, I send a like too.
Thank you! Easy to follow and very helpful!
Thanks for posting. Very helpful. END THE FED. Gold IS money.
Howdy! Thanks for your video! It reminded me of how to change the cabin filter, in my "new, ol' truck" (2006 Frontier). It'd been a while. The old filter, thankfully, wasn't that dirty.
I have an issue inside where the cabin filters go the activator that looks like it brings the event from the dashboard down to your feet the activator arm is broken and keeps clicking when you try to use it. Anyone know if that's his if that part's able to be pulled out or if it's a whole heater core replacement I have to do?
Thank you for a very good video. You've made this task a lot easier for me.
Love the Video ... Great Job with the explanation and straight to the point that covered all bases
Thank you for making this so simple for me. I am recently widowed and have never had to perform vehicle maintenance on my truck. You've saved me a lot of money by showing me how to handle a simple job that a mechanic would have charged me a lot to do.
Solid tutorial. Thank you
Thank you for sharing 👍👍. I have a 2017
Just Change all the Oil Gear cases (3) Been 23.000 miles since I did my Cabin Air Filter again.
Thanks. I found your video very helpful. It was easy and made a great difference in the air in my truck. Thanks again!
Those simple things you explained make it easier for the rest of us to not even have to question it. Don't pay attention to the rocket scientist who commented earlier. Great job on the video and thank you. 👍✌️
This is the best how to do video for this job I've ever seen thank you
Lol they wanted to charge me $200 to do this. Unbelievable
Well done! I like your style of videos! Subscribed!
With that tab broken, how can you be sure you have a good seal on the compartment? It looks as if it was slightly open.
Very good video. Thanks 😊
Gracias buena ayuda desde PR💪💯
Good video. Mine is a k & n filter and it was really hard to get the first one out. Did you reattach the cord?
your making this seem like its a NASA project just yank them out and replace them
