it can also be used to harvest and grow ur cells aswell. to create a small continuous collection of ur cells. and can be used to create stem cells afterwards. those stem cells can also be made into any type of cell they may wish to keep samples of for experimentation and research

I had a cyst removed about 5 days ago and the punch biopsy hole is about the size of a pencil erasure. No stiches were used.

Just had this done yesterday and I had no idea what to expect but it wasn’t this. I thought they would just take a small tissue sample, you know, and I barely could see what they were doing. I was utterly shocked when I came home and looked at the site to see they basically took my whole mole haha. I was like wtf, nobody told me this was what I signed up for, a whole ass mole removal. I mean I’m glad its gone but I could have had a heads up that I’d be left with a giant crater in my leg.

Had that done last week. It was fine but then the meds wore off. I couldnt lifg my arm for a day. Mine is on my rt shoulder. Stitches out next week. No results yet. Itching like crazy though while healing.

Had this done today, 8mm punch, 4 stitches + 1 internal one, and 3 lidocaine injections in my lower leg periodically for numbing. Injection was just a burn/sting and I only felt the first injection, it’s not bad at all. Felt nothing during the actual punch, like not even pressure really. I didn’t feel the first stitches but I did start feeling a burning sensation when inserting the hook for the last few. If you’re scared, don’t be. It doesn’t take long and you don’t have to watch. You’ll be numbed up. If you start feeling anything, just let them know and the procedure will be basically painless.
Few months later update for anyone wondering: the dip isn’t significant for the scar, but there is a large purple/pink oval where the punch was with surrounding dots where the stitches went in. Right now I can say it is bigger/more visible than it was before I got the thing removed, but again it’s on my lower leg which takes the longest to heal. It’s almost completely flat and a little painful to pressure or tight pants.
And for me, the wound was inflamed, red, and tender, the whole time I had stitches. So the removal of the stitches was actually quite painful, and this is not normal for everyone. Some of them even got kinda buried. That could have caused the scar to be worse and slower at healing.
