Over the course of a few years, I poured a ton of sweat equity into this home and, thankfully, my brother was around to help me with many of the projects. (But I also probably spent at least 75k on tools materials over the course of 3 years...)nnBelow is a quick recap on all of the projects: nnBackyard: nIn the backyard, we started by demolishing pretty much everything (The deck, the fence, the shed, etc.). Next, we did some structural work for the deck (e.g. extending the concrete slab landing) and built the shed using pressure treated lumber and Trex decking. I decided to install a wire railing on the deck which I think turned out great. To fix this, we started by upgrading the “stoop” with new railings and an extending concrete landing.
