Thanks. Very informative as I have a bone infection in my leg, the swelling went down but I am still in pain. I am also taking Gabapentin for my Diabetic Neuropathy

Im fatigued. Tired. My doctor prescribed me 4 doses at every 6hrs for 10 days at 500mg. My side effects. Tired. Fatigued. Slight increase bowel movement. Spaced out. Thirsty. Hungry.

I used this for a uti infection, but I stopped using it because I started getting this really bad odor that was coming from my body and sweat. The antibiotics smelled like rotten eggs, is this normal? I had to discontinue to use it. I started feeling so depressed after just taking them for for days . It’s like the smell of sulfur but I can also smell it throughout my body. Do you know why this happens??

Take it with extreme caution !! first time when this happened to me...I was put on it Cephalexin 500 mg 4 times a day for a nasty allergy reaction to black flies bites, due to that, my left eye, lid and cheek was swollen, went to er, and was prescribed Cephalexin 500 mg for a week, 4th day into the treatment I developed a nasty allergy reaction to it, my entire face broke out in itchy rashes bumps like cottage cheese looking under the skin, face inflammated, it completely ruined the entire skin, on my face, chin, neck hands...very itchy, horrible looking and now my entire face skin is itchy, uncomfortable, and God knows what else it damaged internally.
Went back to same ER and I was told blatantly that I should of Never be Put on Cephalexin 500 mg :O same ER same Hospital different medical professional...
So after all this I was advised with a shrug to discontinue the Cephalexin 500 mg treatment, duuhhhhh obviously I already did right away after I noticed the reaction to it and my face blowing up with cottage cheese looking itchy bumps -- use your commons sense - and I was advised to continue with Antihistamines to resume my swollen eye so now I am completely screwed left all itchy, skin and face and hands full of rash , ruined skin on my face, chin, hands, and God knows what other Internal damage it caused....
Read you Pamphlet before taking Cephalexin 500 mg and out way your Risks that you are taking, that is the BEST advise that I can you all.

I have to take this 3 times a days next 10 days, it smelss and people are saying it makes them smell as well

This drug is horrible! I was prescribed Cephalexin and after taking the 500mg pills after only 3 days twice a day the lung infection is gone however I am unable to crap now for going on 9 days

Is their a safer drug, to use other then this one...for example a broken arm.

Thank you for the info… It explains why I am fatigued, and a little bit out of it today… Not much appetite either. I’m on my last day, so that’s the good news.
