One thing I am not seeing mentioned, but is mentioned in case studies, is that some people have gotten DIL- Drug induced Lupus. I am having classic visible symptoms of Lupus. The malar rash, photosensitivity, arthritis pain, muscle weakness and twitching, rash.

covid concern - 5x increase in number of ace2 receptors in humans. This combined with the already inherent overabundance of TMPRSS2 and furin relative to normal amounts of ace2 in the body increase the risk for exceptional rapid replication of sars cov-2. This was carefully never addressed in the dozen range of manipulated studies fudged up by the blood pressure treatment establishment that included control groups with documented 2x covid risk and meta analysis of "carefully picked" "studies" and the raw data with a clear 25% risk increase in the over 70 group "disappeared" after "adjustments". No ethics left in covid so called "research" or in the "journals". Still you can not let blood pressure soar. extra precautions warranted when on lisinopril. N95 masks, nose and mouth sprays, oral / nasal hygiene and eye wash. of course some early treatment protocol available at home.

I just started taking Lisinopril two weeks ago. I am a 64 year old type 2 diabetic and in control with medication and diet. My blood pressure has started to climb a bit to where the doctor fealt it was time to treat it before it became a serious issue. I am feeling a little bit dizzy, ears ringing and just a little nauseous. My blood pressure has dropped however. I was given 2.5mg tablets and told to cut them in half. The side effects are real. I am so glad I am on a very low dose. I am very sensitive to prescription medications. Be careful with this medication.

I dont understand things, but your explanation was good. I wish you would really answer questions. I am mid 60s, female, have angina and had have had a heart attack. I am a diabetic with nerve damage and who is also on dialysis. A new doc subscribed this for me 2 weeks ago along with Lyrica, but will not return my calls to help ease my concerns. Do I need to just take this stuff or get a new doc?

Lisinopril works great to drop pressure, issue is the side effects. Chronic cough, chronic throat tickle, stuffy nose, dizziness, weakness, sleep issues, worse allergies, etc. Sorry but no dr. can convince me that the 20 side effects are better than the pressure. CoQ10 can reduce pressure by up to 17/10 give or take with no or little side effects.

I was taking both lisinopril-hydrochlorothiazi & amlodipine for over 6 years. After some health issues that landed me in the hospital twice taking test after test for heart, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, a cat scan & more. They couldn’t find a problem. When sitting at home after all these test, I discovered that all my symptoms were the also the side effects of the amlodipine. My BP at this point was running 145/80 & I was getting hypertension. My doctor didn’t think I should stop, but I did cold turkey. It’s been 17 days, my BP is 123/62 since stopping. Can I get your thoughts of just staying on the lisinopril-hydrochlorothiazi. I’ve also started loosing weight, no more swollen legs, BP’s down, head rushes, dizziness, heart beating in my throat are gone. Thank You Guy

Ive been taking Lisinopril/Hydrochlorizide for about 25 years. I didnt have high blood pressure when I started taking it. What I had was severe Migraine headaches. I worked with an open minded doctor, and we tried all kind of things, both natural and pharmaceutical. But, when I started taking Lisinopril the headaches went away. Havent had one since. And I suffer no side effects.

There is no SCIENTIFIC evidence supporting Lisinopril as a preventive medicine. There are medical studies. Many suffer from confirmation bias while others misapply retrospective population statistics, believing they mean outcomes in individuals can be modified. This same kind of junk science as that "supports" statins.

I was on Lisinopril for 20 years. From age 38 to 58. I got put on it because I bulked to in body weight. I did it purposely. I was working out with weights intensely to put on as much muscle mass as I could. As a result, my BP went up. Finally,y I didnt want to be bulky anymore, so I went on a diet and lost weight. My blood pressure dropped. But the doctor refused to take me off of it. As the years went on I went on a keto diet, and l lost a little more weight, but my carbs were very low and my BP dropped even more. I decided to ween myself off gradually. As of now, Im about 6 months off, and I feel great! My blood pressure is always below 120/80. Im so glad Im not taking it anymore. After doing research I found out that the drug can deplete zinc from the body and even lower Testosterone in men. I also take magnesium, potassium, nattokinase, and vitamin D3 / Vitamin K2 MK7 supplements as well. All help to lower BP.

I was taking Lisinopril for at least 25 years! Due to gall bladder and stomach infections, I had a significant weight loss, of about 80 pounds. All of my medications were either discontinued or dosage was reduced. It’s always something with our medications…
