Look at him slam the Forstner out the other side and gently massage the Wood Owl through.
I’ve used wood owls. The ones I tried were garbage.
I’ll take a forstner used correctly or a quality brad point any day of the week.
Vid just seems shady..

Or you could put backing to prevent the blowout and take your time.... You know how good cooks say the secret ingredient is the love. Well what all that love translates to is patience.

Maybe you should use the same force with all three bits with that last bityou barely put any forceas it was exiting theWood

Wood Owl bits are superior. Don’t listen to the bottom feeders that know nothing. Most viewers are well-stupid. Timberwolf tools sells them.
April 28 2025
just clamp a sacrificial piece of scrap wood on the back. There ya go, cheap and easy solution.
April 28 2025
You really should just delete this and say “sorry, We all like money wont get that greedy again”
April 28 2025
I like to stay positive, but you jammed that Fenner bit through the back and you eased the wood all through the back obvious as hell dude come on man do better
April 28 2025
Neither one would have blow out had you used a backer board....cmon man
April 28 2025
I’ve worked with all kinds of bits. But never had as much trouble like you are having
April 28 2025
Now if only he would apply the same pressure for all 3. Dude was clear as day applying way more pressure for the first two bits.
April 28 2025
Yeah, ..... easy to see you used much less pressure for the last hole. You cheated.
April 28 2025
Notice how he put more pressure on the first two bits. But the last one was very carefully. Whoa wee
April 28 2025
I like how he was carful for the owl but that he’s got something with but the forsner bit he goes 0-100 wobbly as all heck
April 28 2025
use a small one as guide and then a bigger one … as basic knowledge… brgds.
April 28 2025
Yeah dont be jerking the forstner bit around - thought you were trying to break everything - thats ridiculous
April 28 2025
Come on man. This test is stupid and you know it wasn’t a fair test.
April 28 2025
Use the cheaper forstner bit and place a small piece of sacrificial board behind where your hole will be. Boom, no tearout.
April 28 2025
I have say that it appeared you were pushing way harder on the 2nd one and on the 3rd one you were pushing hard and allowed the bit to do the work. Just saying.

Very similar to Irwin’s Speedbor Max auger style bits. Curious how the Wood Owl would perform against the Irwin.
April 28 2025
This makes me loose trust in you. You pushed harder and wiggled the forester bit. I guess i have to unsubscribe

Imagine wearing a religious t shirt while simultaneously trying to scam people. No wonder people don’t trust religious people anymore.
April 28 2025
I came to comment on the biased testing nice to see y’all already did it for me
April 28 2025
I drilled over 8500 holes through 18” glue lams with these bits. They are the best available.
April 28 2025
Liar!!
If a Democrat had had to explain how drill bits compared, you nailed it!
April 28 2025
Love that this snake oil salesman is getting his butt handed to him for this deceptive and dishonest and not Christian video
April 28 2025
I just clamp a sacrificial scrap block to the back of whatever I am drilling.
No tearout, regardless of the bit chosen. Problem solved.
April 28 2025
Is it just me or has YouTube become a tool sales shop with a kick back on Sales
April 28 2025
Not really that impressive, BECAUSE if you know anything about wood working you can prevent tear out, but clamping on a piece of sacrificial wood to the backside of your hole and end tear out completely!! Any piece of scrap wood will do this fine, and the same applies to drilling wood on a drill press!!! NOT ONLY does this method work with regular drill bits AND Forestner Bits but it also works when you use paddle bits and hole saws as well!!!
April 28 2025
RATS!! I bought a whole set of Forsner bits because "YOU" recommended them on another video.
April 28 2025
I see the comments and yes you all have a point but i can attest to the quality of wood owl bits. I
April 28 2025
Yup your right. He did put more pressure on the first two tools and less on the last.
April 28 2025
Stupid fake video, you tried to damage the wood with those other bits.
April 28 2025
Lol . Maybe if you used as much pressure on the last 1 as you did the others .
April 28 2025
yes.. amazing a Twist drill bit tore out wood, there very good at it all exept masonary, and an auger tip, Brad tip pressed carfully cause less tearout...We have been drilling holes atleast 35,000 years and only today do we learn that theres a tool for the job..
April 28 2025
Can u avoid the takeout if u use tape at the back or piece of wood underneath?
April 28 2025
He applied too much pressure on the first two bits.
And slowed down right before the last one came out
This guys advice is unreliable.
