Very rarely to you hear what the actual doses are. Not helpful at all to say to take magnesium, k2 and zinc with vit d3 without saying what the proportion is.

I googled online and it said...taking too much vitamin D, including 20,000 IU, can damage your kidneys and lead to kidney failure. This is because high levels of vitamin D can cause hypercalcemia, or high calcium levels in the blood.  So is this true Dr Eric Berg?? And does it make this even more of a risk by taking it with calcium, possibly producing too much calcium in the body including risk of kidney stones??

I constantly see on many (almost all) health websites about 4000 IU of vitamin D should be the upper limit to take daily. They say any more than that can be toxic / bad for you. Should we ignore all those experts and instead take 10,000 IU as you recommend?

  gaiagoddess8009

Hey, guess what??!! If you are overweight/obese all that D3 could be going right to your fat cells and just sitting there. That was why **my** levels were always low even when taking 30K every single day. Yes, with ALL the cofactors. Recently, I lost 23 pounds. I just had a total D level test and ..... 40 points higher!! The trapped D is now circulating. ANOTHER REASON to lose weight. **Obese people have low D. A lot of diabetics have low D. ANOTHER REASON to stop eating sugar!! <<--- my reason for being overweight, insulin resistant and mere points away from pre-diabetes.

Dr. Berg, in your Vitamin D3 + K2 supplement, each capsule containing 10,000 IU of Vitamin D3 also includes 25 mg of magnesium citrate. Is this amount of magnesium sufficient, or should we take an additional 400 mg magnesium supplement separately when consuming 10,000 IU of Vitamin D3?

This is pure madness! I watched this video some time ago, and started taking 20,000 IU of vitamin D3, daily, and after a blood analysis I now know why my muscles were hurting all of the time! There are consequences to taking too much of a fat soluble vitamin: it deposits in your system, (unlike the water soluble supplements) and you can damage your kidneys, you can feel a constant fatigue, vomit, nausea and cramping of your muscles. No, thank you, Dr Berg, I will not watch and follow your suggestions anymore!

Im 333lbs as of the minute I write this. I’m on a natural weight loss journey…no weight loss shots. A few months ago I was 354lbs. I’ve been in SEVERE lower back pain and joint pain for about 5 years. It was so debilitating that my Doctor recommended I go to a pain clinic to get Percocet pain pills. Just LAST WEEK… I stumbled upon Dr. Berg’s videos on Vitamin D. I got on Amazon and ordered a high dose Vitamin D3 supplement, Vitamin K2 and ZMA supplement. I put myself on 5,000iu of D3 for two days but still felt pain. On the third day I jumped to 10,000iu per day of D3….the fourth day my constant lower back pain and joint pain was GONE!!!!! Wow! WTF!!!!

My Vit D level is 212.9 nmol/L which is apparently a toxic amount according to google AI and I should reduce my supplement intake. I have been taking 10,000 IU/day for about 6 months with 120mcg of K2. Thoughts Dr. Berg?

April 29 2025

5
  chewhew5045

Interesting how none of these videos are evidence based medicine, from a person who presents himself as “Dr” despite not being a physician. This explains the lack of reputable sources (if any) for the info/speculation presented and follow-up recommendations. Makes sense as to why these videos provide “theories” instead of facts, but certainly promote entrepreneurial growth. “Theories” such as this video, which help promote potentially fatal issues due to vitamin D toxicity, including blood clots, kidney stones, constipation, dehydration, high blood calcium levels, which can lead to calcium deposits in soft tissues causing joint pain and potential surgery, etc.. Absolutely reckless pseudosciences provided from an unqualified source, and a scary disservice to everyone.

If your GP can prescribe it, be skeptical. No GP has ever told me I need to up my vitamin C or take magnesium, so why is D3 getting special treatment?

what if you take a lot of D with a lot of k2 and magnesium and feel super weak and get many smyptoms, is this low calcium?

April 29 2025

4
  joesophie90

My blood results have shown my vitamin D levels are 191 nmol/L (76.4 ng/mL). I have been taking 4000iUs of D3, then upped to 8000iUs, for a good 9 months. I have taken 100mcg of K2 and magnesium citrate (200-400mg). These have all been the Solgar range. My GP has said that my D levels are in the toxic range. I have consumed mixed nuts or good fats whilst taking these. My serum calcium is 2.28 mmol/L. I live in the UK and am 60 yrs of age. I have not had any respiratory illnesses over the Winter months.
