He also painted it adding more weight

My pr must be wrong then cuz I use metal weights so I might be lifting more than what I actually think I’m lifting

People really like to tel other people what to do even tho they have never done it begore

April 30 2025

  gigachad19539

I cant be the onlyone who thought he put a 45 lbs plate on a ps4

April 30 2025

3
  trydodis690

People are forgetting that a metal rusting actually adds to the weight so when you remove it, it will be close to the original.

April 30 2025

3
  bayouut

Do they think that the plate is sold rusty?

April 30 2025

4
  The1neWhoKnockz

Always knew the steel weights were heavier

Cold war wasnt bad just too easy

People like that are idiots. Ignore idiots.

April 30 2025

But the paint adds weight back

April 30 2025

5
  Aiden-_-Valdez

nah bruh because the metal ones like that are def heavier

April 30 2025

3
  QNY96

Na bro if u cleaned the other side it would’ve went down dramatically

April 30 2025

4
  raulrojas1839

add more paint

April 30 2025

4
  BurtDooley-pi1kd

All 45 pound plates weigh closer to 47

April 30 2025

5
  corbingannon905

They dumb asf for thinking he was shaving off a whole pound

April 30 2025

3
  JAS0N_M00RE

Time time add 1/2 oz of paint lol

Bro this dude is the definition of a side mission

April 30 2025

3
  metasleezy

It wouldn’t matter it’s still above the 45 weight

April 30 2025

3
  ekremguler6796

Rust actually increases the weight thats whyvit is 47.78

April 30 2025

5
  jacobflores1393

Is that half ounce in rust though and not the actual weight?

April 30 2025

4
  ebokz

just under half an ounce actually

April 30 2025

4
  FatMilkbucket

47lbs? I know the metal weights are inaccurate compared to the rubber ones, but holy fuck that’s a lot. It may not seem like it, but you start off with a 225 squat, and all the sudden it weighs 236 lbs

April 30 2025

4
  ravelordnito6099

They think ot comes out the factory crusty

April 30 2025

3
  ntsh96

Some people are to dumb to know basic chemistry. Iron oxide (rust) takes the oxygen from the air and combines it with the iron in the plate, making it HEAVIER AS IT RUSTS

April 30 2025

3
  PhSilentMew2

Ohhhh noooooooo

April 30 2025

3
  mineofitsown

People who say stuff like this don’t understand or realize there is a huge of discrepancy between weights on the average plate. The amount you would come close tk removing while cleaning is pretty much negligible. Unless it’s an Olympic highly calibrated weight.

April 30 2025

5
  jacobdoddington123

Last I checked 8.2-7.8 is 0.4 which is less than half an ounce

April 30 2025

4
  adamsmy8121

Put another coat of paint boom problem solved

April 30 2025

5
  Thabs474

Mfs are so dumb

April 30 2025

4
  ToyotaF150

how are you gonna be angry about a weight losing weight when it has more weight than it should weigh

April 30 2025

3
  legendaryarchie6512

The rust is simply added weight of oxygen

April 30 2025

3
  MerpGd

45 pounds in reality its 47 pounds..

April 30 2025

5
  fixs4023

Forgot to clean the rust off bro

April 30 2025

3
  Encentium

People who have never been to the gym when a dude cleans his plates and they lose 0.5 of an ounce:

April 30 2025

5
  somaraparicio3537

Alr for those who still think its wrong. Add back the 100 grams of material with paint

April 30 2025

5
  ocelotgaming520

Rust is o2 in the air or water combining with types of metal to ADD rust to the metal, that is why the rusted weight is heavier than 45 lbs. He is removing the oxygen from the plate making it closer to the desired weight.

April 30 2025

4
  joebidome425

who was the guy who said he lost FIVE POUNDS from grinding of a bit of rust bro aint no way

April 30 2025

5
  MAXEEMUS

you should have painted it to gold :D

April 30 2025

4
  PocoLoco7474

broo that will ruin my gains ong

April 30 2025

3
  Skclsofiejslandjgor01938sjdks

*sighs in metric*

April 30 2025

4
  SecretFormulatechnique

It prolly gained wait cause of the oxygen that bonded to the iron to make the rust(I said iron cause it looked like iron it may be a different metal I’m not sure but same process)

April 30 2025

3
  Celula-perfecto

It wont lose too much though. Alot of cheaper weights are inaccurate, and have more or less weight

April 30 2025

3
  Anchovs

Mystic cat???? Sounds just like him

April 30 2025

5
  thomas_oesterreicher

Please start using the metric system this is so confusing

April 30 2025

5
  duck5332

rust is a chemical reaction when the plate reacts with oxygen making it weigh more but when you ckean off the rust it will weigh less

April 30 2025

5
  infinitemug6203

April 30 2025

4
  kobeyftw1789

Literally rust isn’t even that heavy, to think it would make a big difference restoring one is just overthinking it.

April 30 2025

4
  scottpayne9245

You added paint dummy

April 30 2025

3
  VOID_14115

People really think hes taking a pound of rust off

April 30 2025

4
  m9wn_

"noo it will be lighter!!!" the weight after crumbling under its own weight:

April 30 2025

3
  REALGECKO4526GEEKERYTIME

My mother works in the metal production/plastic production business, she did not powder coat metal with spray paint. Just saying. You couldve sandblasted it at least.

April 30 2025

3
  azmeerasiqueahamed6839

Do people not know basic chemistry…

April 30 2025

3
  azorath1427

Just add a bit more paint

April 30 2025

5
  amberblyledge7859

Nah, just put another coat of paint or two.

April 30 2025

3
  ImNotPalmer

It lost less than half an ounce, not over half an ounce

April 30 2025

3
  aarons.2976

The gun safe

April 30 2025

3
  theodarosasmidt

Yall are wrong about rust Rust makes the object heavier by *adding* oxigen particles and water on the iron When you take the rest off, it comes back to the original size and weight

April 30 2025

5
  Alec9821

A rusted plate will be heavier than before it rusted because it gains weight from the oxygen in the air. When the oxygen bonds to the iron it adds weight to the plate

April 30 2025

3
  Karma78941

If anything the rust would make it 46 pounds and when you clean it it goes to 45 because they don’t make them rusty

April 30 2025

4
  desserted5294

So I just need to clean myself?

April 30 2025

4
  NormadYT

It gets heavier the more it oxidises. Due to it having extra oxigen atoms paired with the surface iron

April 30 2025

3
  crazycreedo1234

That is why Leon Edwards has the best physique in the universe

April 30 2025

3
  EvilTGM

People are stupid and they don’t know that barely a centimeters of rust is almost nothing

April 30 2025

3
  ikorewa

I knew these types of weight always weighed more than the black padded ones

April 30 2025

4
  Luxto_

So what ur telling me is newer weights are pay to win because the old plates weigh more??

April 30 2025

4
  Dolander_

Guys when things get rust on them they’re actually getting heavier. That’s how it works

April 30 2025

4
  am_bored3

When you always use a 45 pound weight then you weigh it and it 47.5 lbs. I am way stronger then I thought I was I will take over the world.

April 30 2025

5
  UnrealRealism

Why would anyone think it would be substantial enough to matter? It’s clearly grams worth… you can guess an approximation

April 30 2025

4
  siuu5359

Yeah no significant loss

April 30 2025

5
  ricardometaversesamurai7872

still nobody rusty stuff

April 30 2025

4
  TrpleOfficial

The loss of the weight is the rust that grew on it

April 30 2025

3
  Moai2.-

Why does anyone even care if it loses like 1 pound

April 30 2025

5
  Ignitedfr

YT fan base whenever you remove half an ounce from a weight:

April 30 2025

3
  jamiebristow93

Rust is metal + oxygen Oxygen does have a weight just very low

April 30 2025

3
  jakethemoss240

One really said that a 45 pound weight now weighs 40 pounds how does a weight lose 5 pounds from just the surface getting cleaned?

April 30 2025

3
  trix_bs

Bro only cleaned one side

April 30 2025

3
  Mooseno.2

Rust and dirt isn’t the plate itself it’s stuff that builds on the plate so you would barely lose anything

April 30 2025

4
  ak14619

Nah I only lift rusty ass weights so I don’t loose that ounce.

April 30 2025

5
  Giltom09

The reason it ways more is because rust is iron oxide and the oxygen atoms add more weight

April 30 2025

3
  4chinsanonymoose37

imagine being the goofy ass who thinks he scraped 5 pounds of weight off in rust

April 30 2025

4
  zidesa8890

It losses weight bc the dirt and stuff on it gives more weight

April 30 2025

3
  Ajb08416

People seem to forget that the week would probably be heavier than it was originally because when something roasts gains weight because of the oxygen combining with the iron

April 30 2025

4
  Lemon-ce1jw

Oxidization adds weight to steel tho...

April 30 2025

4
  Ca5pR

but u put paint on it

April 30 2025

5
  columnfellow7477

The rusty old plate, the heaviest thing in the world trust

April 30 2025

5
  luon6988

rustet tjings are heavier because of oxidation which means that electrons are added

April 30 2025

4
  sadwibbit4877

you sound like that youtuber mysticat

April 30 2025

3
  Evan-Wingett

Bro all of the wait is from the paint

April 30 2025

4
  lemonke2

I could be wrong about this, but I remember hearing somewhere that rust is actually slightly heavier than the original material due to oxidation

April 30 2025

4
  danderson6290

People that comment that are stupid
