I’ve broken three of these. The little plastic bit you can spin to indicate the lead softness is a weak point.. and it’s particularly weak.

It has a pretty bad fail point at the clip. If its damaged it stops working.

Could not grasp the significance of rolling the sheath and indicating B, HB, 2B etc…..can it be loaded with leads of multiple hardness at the same time and select multiple leads during one session ?

I have been using the same one for over 10 years now, got it in highschool, its probably went through tens of thousands of papers, and easily hundreds of pieces of lead. I buy refills for the eraser too. It works just like it did 10 years ago.

This is the pencil I use on a regular basis, the 0.7 version. I also have the GG500, P207, and a couple of 1980s Scripto pencils.
