I like the fresh laundry smell and softer clothes with liquid fabric softener.
I hang up my clothes to dry outside, which makes my clothes rough/stiff if I don’t use fabric softener.
I only use the minimum amount of both liquid detergent and softener and have my washer machine do a second rinse cycle.

Fabric softener is highly flammable. Worst product for clothing. Fabric sheets clog up dryer filters leaves a residue on your filter screen.

I use fabric softener 5 % of the time sparingly on 100% cotton t-shirt, sock & underwear. It makes the fabrics soft.

I keep bars of soap in my drawers, an idea my mom gave me. Usually I put in the ones I find a little fancy. I feel like I need to preserve them for as long as possible lol.

I haven’t used fabric softener in a while. I’ve been using fabric softener sheets but I miss the smell regular fabric softener on my clothes. I used to get compliments all the time of how I smelled like fresh laundry. What suggestions do you have so that I can achieve the same results?!??

Fabric softener is a textiles fiber stabilizer and actually not meant for home use.
The industry barrels have a written warning ⚠️ to not ingest the heated fumes and wearing protective gas mask when handling this product

To prevent mold growth leave your washer open. If side loaded, open a detergent drawer as well for better air flow.

Scented laundry detergents are the source of high level toxic vocs in the home. They often contain carcinogens and neurotoxins. I sustained severe nerve damage and our cat had seizures from the scented products. They are dangerous and can lead to problems with digestive tract, swallowing, eczema, etc. Not worth it. Buy free and clear only.

Certain clothes I had to hand wash because the dye runs. I use the fabric softener we used to use before we learned it was bad for the washing machine. I swear, my jumper came back softer than it did last I washed it (in my washing machine, it died my pink pyjamas green.)
