What do you think about the idea of adding an Elegoo Centauri Carbon after buying the BambuLab A1 AMS Lite. To my way of thinking I get a multi-colour printer ( for me that's a convenience rather than a necessity) + a printer that will print useful practical designs but tougher than the Bambu when needed. Both of these printers have a relatively budget price but are highly regarded,
7:46 couldn't* care less
Complete noob question. Is that $4.06 cost the projected filament price or a fee from the maker?
it has to be car friendly of its to week IMO Melting just beacouse it in hot car wood suk trinks only is Meek ngi
What tools, not supplied with the printer, would you recommend?
do ytou have a site that you sell anything? Love the cookie monster and ray guy.....
Great video! Thinking of buying the printer. Could you share the link to the exact spool adapter you're using?
I have two of these and they are fantastic printers. I rarely have any problems. I also print practical items that are primarily one color but I do use another color usually for text. When I first started I tried printing some 4 color prints and very quickly realized it is not practical and is massively wasteful so I don't do it. As a matter of fact, my second A1 was a 1 color version. Most of my prints are one color (Black) so a 4 color setup for that is a complete waste of money. I use my original 4 color A1 for the few items that require a second text color.
Lets print fully white and paint after you assemble all the parts...
how does it handle ASA and ABS?
The A1 is riddled with problems and spending all day troubleshooting right out of the box is not what I had in mind when I spent $500. I would NOT recommend.
Am I able to use my Macbook Pro M1 with the software to run this machine?
Did you test all the sped settings including the ludicrous speed
Can you point me toward the stl for that monster eating the waste filament?
Your comment about apple and android made me take my decision. I liked the printer and come from 7 years of DIY reprap... so proprietary everything, no thanks.
Hi everyone I'm a 13 year old that would love the A1 currently I have a toybox printer I would like to upgrade to the A1 idk if I should get the multi color combo and idk if I should sell my toybox to get it what do y'all think
ATTENTION ATTENTION SIR WHAT IS THAT PURPLE THING AND HOW DO I GET ONE
Is it ok if I get a1 combo or should I just get A1
Where do I find that Cookie Monster bin
If I'm looking to upgrade from an older ender 3 to this, do you think it's worth the switch or should I buy a different printer? I'm mainly doing this as a hobby and nothing more.
all this youtubers complaining about the waste. lmao. all i do is color prints and im ok with the waste. simple is just what it is.
So any real use besides printing toys tho? I want to buy 1 but think i will run out of things to print after half a year or so.
just ordered mine for $400 after tax and shipping! coming from an ender v3 se i am so excited.
what a minute - you printed Crocs?!?!?!?
So this is a shanghi chinese device - i am not comfortable connecting it to my home wifi or installing the poorly rated app on my phone- which could present a risk for cyber attacks. Love how no one covers who makes these printers and just blindly installs apps on your phone and adds unknown devices to your home wireless network without researching the risks involved. Prints look great but at what cost to your privacy/data to introduce a country into your home network that likes to maliciously hack the crap out of us. Do a video with how to use this device without connecting it up to your wireless network or download untrusted software (which if you read the privacy guidelines of bambu handy you are giving that app a lot of access to your data - which is unnecessary). If you are going to do a review of a product you have to connect to ones home local area network then also cover the security aspects/risks involved. Before you get up and yap about a product - please go over who the manufacture is and what kind of access it has to your network/phone/etc..
Where can I find the Cookie Monster head? Anyone!
1:05 By the way, say PETG like pet (pet a dog) g (say the letter name)
Can i still watch this after buying a Bambu Labs A1 printer?
That’s what I said
Why you keep calling it PTEG? I feel like I'm taking crazy pill because its clearly PETG, have I been saying it wrong the whole time?
Someone thats new to 3d printers would you recommend the a1 combo over the neptune 4 plus ?.
Printing useless crap moron
Im not buying any crap what so ever
Hi where did you find the Cookie Monster poop bin I need this for mine if you have a link to the file would be much appreciated
Bambu closed source
I ll take the waste. Fûçk Bambu labs and their customer service or lack there of. What do they care they have my miney Failed to calibrate out of the box, cannot link to my phone either. Worst decision ever at least my Ender 3 only cost 99.00. F Bambu.
I have a MacBook but Android phone☺
This is the worst "beginner" 3D printer you can possible buy. I made the mistake of buying 2 of them based on my research and found out the hard way that the company (Chinese) is absolute a fraud. My order came in 3 shipments with the printer late and last. After following EVERY step by the book I first dry one to calibrate. After 5 seconds of going left and right it stopped in the middle and the display told me " Calibration failed" that's it. No explaining what is wrong and how to fix it. Got on their website and found NO FIX or explaining. Contacted the bot and got a ticket of my request (no answer) and that is the last what I heard from them so far. This is not a customer service at all. But I have a second one, did the installation again, exactly as shown and the SAME problem again. After 5 seconds the message "Calibration failed" To everyone this is a scam machine and this actors are just paid actors what lying to you. Stay away from Bambu Lab products. This is CHINESE JUNK.
How fast is it compared to an Ender 3? I'm still using the original Ender 3. I've upgraded it's motherboard, but that didn't really make it faster.
So wasteful. When I print my Pokémon Keychain and bottle openers I am looking for efficiency.
Does the camera come with this printer or is this an add-on? Does that mean that if there is a part that needs to be fixed you have to send it into them or you can order the part and put it on yourself?

P TEG?
dude where did you get the really cute purple poop catcher can i have the link to the file
What about heater boxes for humidity
20 freaking adds in your video dude
So just curious on the slippage for the sunlu red, could you put a better spring in the AMS filament funnel? Or would making that too tight be bad?
Is it ok to print pla indoors in your home? Or does it produce nasty byproduct fumes?
Did you just say PTEG? It is PETG sir 😂😂😂
It’s like if Apple became a printer true
I just ordered the A1. Pre order. Looking to have fun with it
I am just seeing this video and I am new to this but want to start a Etsy store and sell 3D printed samurai masks, DC comic masks, and other odds and ends would you recommend the P1S or the A1. I noticed the P1S is enclosed and would think making a mask would be difficult but like I said this all would be new to me.
You had me until you compared Bambu Labs to CrApple! Closed source Nazi's that analyze and watch everything you do for the criminal government Gestapo! You lost me! I'm out!
Don't ever purchase anything from Bambulab if you expect to have any type of support on order issues, technical issues etc.....because their support is basically non-existant. I've been waiting for more than a month on my A1 printer and they basically are not responding to tickets or doing anything to resolve the situation. Maybe the printers are good but the company and their support is the worst in all categories!
Multicolor printing is the only reason I can buy it cause I have Creality K1 and for me is amazing I really love fast printing more then everything, but the A1or A1 mini is the only one you can have the experience to print multicolor at the best price and that is amazing and I know all product of bambú lab are great product!!
Even as a tinkerer and techie, there's only so much teching and tinkering I wanna do, A1 it is.
ss
Great shear. TY So this cant be used to make a custom back panel on a Tablet or phone ? Only for decretive stuff. Any one have a suggestion like DIY build one or the cheapest one that can be used to make more than decretive stuff.
If you can't afford to throw out five dollars worth of a roll of filament or can't bring yourself to be so wasteful, just give up 3d printing.
Hows your Laguna equipment? I see these guys at some of the trade shows I'm at. They got some decent stuff I've seen.
Wow ! So biased. What about Prusa mk4 ? Get real dude! So fake !
Thanks for the video but you have shown me it is not worth the money as there is too much waste and it is still slow. the tech has a ways to go for most people to be able to use it. as for me i do not have the patients for waiting so long as that pikachu took way to long and had too much waste.
I would think the best that you can buy in the market right now that doesn't give you so much waste would be the prusa XL cuz it doesn't have to purge as it has separate hot ends for every color the A1 or any of the bambu series that poop out all of the purged filament the AMS units are more for the convenience of not having to constantly change out your roles. You can still do multicolor prints at least in a pinch if you need to but if you're looking to maximize on Less waste I would still go with the XL
If the power goes out or one of the pieces gets ruined in a batch, from the phone app you can cancel only that piece and continue with the others. At 7:12 for example, if one piece came off the base but the other didn't, you can cancel the one that came off and continue the other to minimize the loss of material and time.
Are its able to turn off that flushing function when do multi material model just simple use blocker to change a bolora
SCAMMERS - Scambu lab are the worst company just check out trust pilot reviews and thank me later, all is Wonderfull with the printers they give to reviewers, but as an end customer there is no support. Zero! they took my money and ran, I have no printer, no refund, no support, radio silence at the moment from them.
Ppl fail to undersrand multi color printing and get all bent out of shape based on the waste. Ye you can chamge all those settjngs with a lil work. The high up front cost of multicolor printing can be spread over multiple prints on the bed. Ie. If you are printing small items that are multi color, you cannot jist print 1. You need to maximize your bed to spread the waste over 15, 20, 25 prints on 1 bed. The waste does not change after the first item.
Some people bought UPS to avoid power failure.
Where u get the fallout guy file?
Honestly with all that waste, I think it would be better to just print a solid color then paint it. Goes much faster and no waste. And it's not like the "paintjob" of the printer is super advanced, so even a child could probably paint it by hand in a few minutes. Plus with paint you have significantly more options as you can mix the paint and have so many different ones.
Where can I find that purple filament collector
Can you buy the ams separate
So basically a real solid option, especially if you're not doing multi-colored printing?
i've been looking for an hour and still can't find the cookie monster filament waste bin, has anyone had luck finding it?
14:40 you have a man bun. We knew you'd also have a MacBook😉😁. Great vid. Thanks!
P-teg??????
Igot my A1 without the AMS. Too much filament waste
Thank you for this video. Getting my kids interested in 3d printing and it sounds like if we stick to Bambu parts we shouldn't have too many issues. Also having a bad camera can be fixed with a simple purchase of a $20 indoor Ring/blink/etc camera.
For the cost is that for filament
Do you think that if you use glue stick, it would prevent the release that you experienced during the power outage, and have permitted you to resume?
Totally off topic but why do Americans say "I could care less" to express they don't care.? Shouldn't it be " I couldn't care less" ? I know that's the expression most people use outside of the US. Only reason I ask here is the author said it a few minutes into the vid. It is just a question before people chuck their toys out the pram & get all wound up
Where can i find the Cookie Monster Bin?
i don't really see the point in multi color. just learn to paint stuff.
I may have missed it but what are the advantages to getting an enclosed printer? I’m looking for my first one and I don’t want to get a “starter “ for $300 just to realize I need a more advanced one that’s enclosed.
Where did you get the file for the Cookie Monster support holder?
Thank you excellent video I just purchased it Black Friday sale 299$
Creality printers are not "android" compared to bambu lab. They are unfriendly to non-tech users, poor quality of parts. I got bend frame out of the box, bend bed glass, bend z axis screw.
Hey! Fingers crossed that you actually read your comments. I started 3D printing a few months ago and have already purchased 3 P1S combos. I have the 3 of them running 24/7 and am already looking at a forth. I'm realizing that I can handle most of my intricate prints with my P1S's and was beginning to think that an A1 with no AMS would be amazing to increase my productivity when it comes to small single color prints with PLA like articulating toys, etc. Do you think I should just snag an A1 for $299 instead of opting towards a forth P1S?
I cannot seem to find the file for the Purple monster that you use to hold the waste. Is it still available?
say goodbye to your lungs
any one know what the stl to the big purple pokemon looking thing is thats filled with printer waste is?
Im just hoping it can print a helmet in full. I'd like to be able to do that rather than scale it down or have it come apart in sections. I got a big head
Do feel like there's a benefit with the q1 pro's coreXY configuration vs the A1's bed slinger even just for PLA and PETG printing?. The A1 without AMS lite is about $90 cheaper than the Q1 pro where i live, but with AMS lite its $150 more than the Q1 Pro. Weighing up which is best is tricky given the Q1 is technically more capable in terms of filament types and the Corexy is a "better" configuration.
How Does the Slicer Know where to change Color? I don’t like the idea of Prusa Slicer Crappy Paint on colors or supports. It’s not at the CAD Surface Level I’m used to from a CAD package.
With a 3 Color AMS print could you put in a Purge only as a 4th Spool?
Is Bamboo a Secret Branch of Roland-Japan? If Not Why Is Roland not in the Game. They already make Great Desk Top CNC style Printers.
Could you adjust the tension on the AMS feeders when you are going to use Low Spec filaments?
Could you please do a Head to Head with Ender 3 S1 Pro. Single color only, using a dual compatible Slicer or a hacked A1 with Prusa Slice…
What is the files to the poop bucket?
