I believe if someone was actually in the car, it wouldn’t lock, the car knows when some one is actually sitting in it, that’s why you don’t get a seat belt alarm when no one else is in the co pilot seat

Change your lock timer in your settings menu to lock later like 30 seconds to a minute instead of instantaneously. Problem solved.

This behavior can be disabled in the vehicle settings if you choose to do so

that is for safety reason, say if someone wants to rob you and decides to open the car where youve just put the staff, he wont be able to take anything because it gets locked

Are you aware that you can turn off the auto lock? I deactivated that system in mine
