Had a similar thing, but it was leaking less, so I got surprised while driving home ..... Replaced the gasket and pump both at once on my A5 Sportback.

Feel like anything before 2012 is prone to bullshit but worth if you can maintain maintenance

Just changed that part on my mk5 GTI cbfa. No fun at all. Secondary air injection diverter needs to be removed. Plastic fitting was disintegrated like yours.

You can also see the pink crust/dried coolant. Usually you get the most leak when the motor is cooling down and the thermal expansion/contraction of different materials.

Is it necessary to drain all coolant? It does not appear to leak a ton of coolant once hose was removed.

Does doing this make the car stop shaking under 3,000 rpm’s and the EPC light cut off?

You are so amazing!!! THE flat earth mechanic!!! Ive learned so much about how cars work from watching your channel the past few days. This is the problem on my 2007 "Coolant Flange for Rear of Cylinder Head for B7-A4 2.0T" needs replaced. Thank you sooooo much for sharing your knowledge with me! :)

Is this in the same location on the b9 Q5? Or is the vacuum pump above it? I have a coolant leak that just started yesterday, and I didn’t get chance to check where it’s coming from yet.

I had this done back in March only because I could not get to the back screws with my big ass hands. It started leaking coolant again recently and I’m pretty sure the dildo never replaced the o ring for the oil pump

Great video. Replace the plastic hose that goes to that piece and now that part is leaking. Cold and plastic don’t mix.
