My multimeter shows 1.292 using (0.000) on a rechargable battery of 1.2 wich according to this video, it means that the battery is good. but when I put the battery in a digital temp measure it gives the battery low icon and it goes off. Then I tested another battery of 1.5 non-rechargable and the multimeter showed 1.589 or something which is still in range. So both batteries showed in range but one worked and the other not! Does that mean my multimeter is not working properly?

Just to make something more clear: at min 2:00 you say that when inserting the first probe into the socket, the other one could become instantly electrified. This is true. Though, jf you touch the other probe nothing would "probably" happend as the internal resistence of the multimeter when set in Voltage measurement mode would limit the current passing through your body to uA/nA. I used "probably" because if nothing work as ideal (EG: the multimeter is wrongly set, or the voltage you are measuring is actually bigger than 120/230V) something may go wrong. This is quite remote anyway. And better stay safe not touching the other probe as you said in the video :)

Nice video. I bought a chinesium multimeter that has the non contact, and the clamp for reading volts/amps. My question is, is it supposed to jump around a lot? When taking a solid reading with the leads, it is steady. Otherwise the numbers are always bouncing around. The seller said it is normal.

Continuity test is not a good test for checking if a wire is “good”. You can have a damaged wire hanging on by a single copper thread that will beep when tested. Giving you a false impression that the wire is good. It’s better to do a voltage drop test or a load test.
