My very favorite liqueurs are Amaretto Disaronno and Frangelico. I love them served hot with a bit of hot water, like hot toddies, on wintry nights.

For some additional hazelnut trivia, while the cultivated hazelnut crops are primarily European and Asian varieties, North America does have two native hazelnut species: the beaked hazelnut and the American hazelnut.

I remember picking wild hazelnuts when I was a kid, love hazelnuts. My favourite, along with Almonds and maybe Brazil nut too.

Could I use cocoa liqueur instead of cocoa nibs? I mean, you already have brandy and vodka.

There is Bailey’s, Fra Angelico, Jameson’s, and Lambrusco. Nothing Else.

While in the process of making my 1st liquer from green walnuts, I came across a simple sirup made with white wine (1:1 ratio). Greetings from the far north of Germany!

Niece! I like frangelico, but always think it has too mild a hazelnut flavor and a little too sweet. Maybe consider adding 4 oz vodka to the cooled syrup and letting it rest overnight. Some flavor compounds are miscible in alcohol rather than water.

Thank you for sharing your recipes. These quick style recipes are fun and rewarding!!! For those that are avoiding sugar, I have made almost all of your liqueurs using Allulose as a sugar substitute and the results have been really nice. I am sure they are not as good as cane sugar but still yummy.

I feel like sous vide would be a great way to extract flavors directly into the alcohol also

I’ve never had Frangelico but I want to make now since I’ve been having so much fun using your recipes and they have been spot on!! I would love if you could do one for Chambord, the raspberry liqueur. I rarely drink but I love to make chambord margaritas…chef’s kiss. Amazing channel!!

Got a feeling that one could use clarifying techniques of wine makers to clear up the product (if that was important to them).
