No different than gi joe classified making 3 Cobra Commanders when there a billion different characters they could of done. I agree with you but I will get them both (if I can find him) here in Canada they seem alot harder to find. No peg warmers in our stores.

Back in the day, I was not a He-Man fan, but the battle damage figures got me sold. Also the Skelator claw was cool.

There are definitely some people who got the Battle Armor figures instead of the original ones. Some couldn’t get or find the original He-man and Skeletor figures. As there were moments in the vintage line where the original versions weren’t on shelves. So the people who grew up like that definitely would get these figures.

This is the only way to get the vintage heads. I don’t care for the new sculpted head sculpts.

Actually the reason the line died in the 80’s is because the originals were no longer on the shelves and as a result no one was buying the ancillary character like buzzsaw etc. I only had the battle armour versions because originals were no longer being distributed.

Battle Armor for both He-Man and Skeletor were the definitive versions for some kids in the 80s, for me personally I preferred that look to the main cartoon look. Also the battle Armor figures featured on a lot of boxart, I’d say it’s pretty iconic in terms of both aesthetic and action feature.

I would be more inclined to buy these if they were unique characters instead of variants. That being said, I know there are other variants of these characters that are more unique in terms of gimmick and accessories so I might look into those if they come out.

I’m a noob to the channel. Great review. Your peg warmer comment is spot on. I believe sales are struggling so to the poor head sculpts. That’s the ONLY reason why I feel they released these so soon. The WWE counterpart is much more successful IMO

The originals were notorious for breaking and losing their ability to lock-in place, always staying on the final "heavy damage" plate. The Four Horsemen and Macho Man versions used interchangeable plates rather than the rotating gimmick. Much better for collectors, but less fun and more pieces to lose for kids, I suppose.

Talked to one stocker who said a single person came in this morning and bought everything--and all the new GI Joe stuff. All you do is fuel scalpers and keep regular people from getting the product.

Battle armor he man is the most popular variant in the line! Lol and why they have so many regular heman and skeletors out is? In original line Mattel did not produce many original heman and skeletors figures! Most kids at the time battle armor was their first heman figure in the line.

They should have reversed the swords. Give He-Man Skeletor’s half colored silver so you could put it together with the wave 1 He-Man sword and have a full silver power sword. Seems simple, I don’t understand why Mattel can’t do that.

How they haven’t released “ accessories packs” yet is beyond me. Theyd make a killing, and fans could have so much fun. A silver FULL power sword, hands and feet, multiple heads, new weapons, etc!

Back in the mid 90s my mom went to a garage sale down our street and bought master of the universe 8 figures. I remember the lady saying “those are my sons old toys from years ago you can have the whole box I believe there is eight for $2” my mom paid the lady and I went home a happy little guy. Had those for 15 years until my dog chewed them up one day while I was riding bike with friends. Wish I had those. Pretty sure they are valuable now. This body armor one was there
