HOT! nnNow that we have the packing list out of the way, let's get to the rum...nnMount Gay Black Barrel Rum was introduced in March of 2020 as part of a brand extension headed by Master Blender Trudiann Branker. Here's what Mount Gay has to say about their Black Barrel expression:nn"Our robust new Black Barrel blend is crafted from a blend of intense and aromatic rums, distilled in traditional copper pot and column stills. The rum is matured between 3 to 7 years in American Whiskey casks and then, finished for 6 months in deeply charred bourbon casks. This robust and bold rum offers rich notes of spices, gingerbread and toffee."nnWe've been lucky enough to sample a Barbados Rum or two on our global Rum tasting journey, so we were quite pleased to have this sample of Mount Gay land on our front porch.
