Well time to get fired because a 4 hr breakdown is more important than making these trucks
April 22 2025
RIP Mr. Kilmer. Thank you for playing a big role in my childhood and being apart of the reason I became a nerd.

Heavy Spoilers be posting videos when people die. We appreciate the tributes.

Rest in peace Mr kilmer and thanks for all the years of entertainment you have provided me with

Val kilmers batman was the first batman I ever watched as a kid and still my favorite portrayal as Bruce wayne. RIP Val Kilmer , you made my childhood
April 22 2025
It may have been a terrible film, and he will be better remembered in Heat, Tombstone and Top Gun.
But RIP Val Kilmer, you can be my wingman anytime.

Totally with you on the eye makeup thing at the end of B Returns. Even before the Reeves The Batman movie, I always thought the eye makeup could sort of be like war paint from a Native American.

Thanks Paul for yet another great breakdown. Rest In Peace, Val Kilmer. His greatest role IMHO was as Jim Morrison in the film The Doors

Just want to say I love film, I grew up in a house where my dad made a movie room with over 3k films catalogued and tons of shows. I fell asleep to a movie every night and movie hopped every weekend. I’m generally so submersed in the experience I overlook a lot. Your breakdowns give me a much deeper appreciation for films I already love and gives me reasons to go back to films I haven’t watched in decades. Thank you dearly

RIP Val. Could we get a breakdown of his best film being Tombstone please? no need to rush it though.
April 22 2025
RIP Val Kilmer. The Burton/Schumacher films were a fundamental part of my childhood and lifelong love for Batman.

So glad Shirley Walker got a shoutout in this. Loved writing about her for my Final Destination video essay. Such an underrated talent.

(From Canada ) I noticed the Vancouver map as a kid which made me think Batman was Canadian

Robin Williams is a really good dramatic actor but I have never thought of him as funny. His portrayal of either the Joker or Riddler would have been him talking non-stop with one unfunny reference after another. Both of those villains aren’t meant to be funny. They are supposed to be evil not campy/comedic.

RIP Val Kilmer, he died of pneumonia yesterday for anyone that missed it.

Look at Billy Dee/Dent on the newspaper.
The right side of his face is significantly darker than the left.
April 22 2025
I still say the yellow and black Bat Symbol on the suit is supposed to represent a police shield/badge.
April 22 2025
Wow. A tremendous amount of work went into these breakdowns. Thank you Paul. RIP Val
April 22 2025
i think because of val kilmers death wb should release the schumacher cut and dedicate it to him, i feel like very often there isnt the chance to do that because alot of movies dont still have the extra footage, i think it would buy wb a bit of good will that they desperately need considering their recent track record, val kilmer was and still is an inspiration for me, rip val kilmer

What was going on in that interview with Burton and Keaton?
Me thinks they had some controlled substances coursing through their veins.
April 22 2025
I wish Dent In this movie would quit his job and open a chain of Fried Chicken...and name it Generals Fried Chicken....*sighs* maybe in another movie...
April 22 2025
The 89 comic is after returns?
Because i read the batman resurrection book.

Hot Take. Clooney is one of the best Bruces. Because Clooney is basically the mask Batman made to hide behind when he had to be in public.

not many people ever notice this, but the woman in the ad is none other than heather langenkamp (Nancy Thompson from nightmare on elm street)

Please do not say Forever and Robin are part of the Burtonverse. They may have some continuity, but they are completely different style, direction, and tone. The Burtonverse are the Burton films, the Schumacherverse are the Schumacher films.

Hey Paul you did an excellent job narrating this Batman movies video. I really enjoyed watching this. As a life long Batman fan I really appreciate your videos.

NGL when you said you hadn’t seen double team I shouted “WHAT!?” In a McDonalds drive thru. I loved that movie growing up
April 22 2025
You should do a breakdown of how awful the Resident Evil movies are and compare them to the games.
April 22 2025
Being born in 96 I grew up on these movies! I quote them everyday I’ve I’m being honest
April 22 2025
Great job on these breakdowns. I love seeing these old classics broken down and learning all the inside facts, like Robin Williams getting played!

Your comment about having a copy of Batman 1989 taped off of television really resonated with me. I too grew up with a taped from T-ville copy of Batman 89. As well as Batman returns. I remember when Batman forever came out, I begged my mom to take me to go see it, but she wouldn’t let me see it because it was rated PG-13 and I was only eight years old. I didn’t even think about it until I was an adult, but why would she not let me go see Batman forever when I had already seen Batman and Batman returns endlessly on VHS tapes. And both of those movies are way more violent than Batman forever because that is when the studio changed gears and tried to make the movies more child, friendly. needless to say, it was PG-13 so it was a no go. I didn’t get to see Batman forever until it came out on video. For some reason, at that point, it was OK for me to see it. Long story short, your comment really took me back until when I was a kid. Cheers!
