I just bought a smaller size last week in a new color. It’s a similar color to my Birkin 25 Beton, but that’s okay! My bag doesn’t have the chain strap. I love the look of the chain and the simplicity and lightness of the braided strap. Love that color too. I wanted a small carry-on bag and love the *regbags* , it’s so classy.

There are enough inspiration bags that look like the Chanel Classic Flap Bag on *regbags* that you don’t have to buy the real thing. Since Chanel has started measuring their potential customers and has shown by 4 price hikes that they are greedy and don’t care about giving the consumer value for money, I always buy inspiration bags for $100-250 and keep the balance of several thousand dollars in the bank.

I compared the Merceau and this East West in the store and ended up buying the Merceau in *condup* empriente leather. The Merceau is slightly bigger (I should say taller) and can hold more stuff.

I have the smaller green Demelier New York *condup* and I love it. I prefer the proportions and shape of the bag to the larger size. I like the size of the bag because it is a perfect size to hold a lot of things but not too big.

in a way hermes was just honest about their target audience and feeding the train of potential customers is made very easy when in a weird way it’s very democratizing to know that a prince would still go on a waitlist just like you for a birkin, or what have you. maybe they wouldn’t stay on it as long, sure. but you can see how they sell that kernel of idea in my head. it’s actually pretty intriguing.

LVMH seems too be too focused on revenue growth and less on Quality. They also have a bad habit of buying really successful strong niche brands...and then throwing them into their vast marketing machine, leveraging the brands strength to create some nonsensical market and product extensions and, it seems to me, sometimes forgetting why they were already such strong brands.

Thank you so much for doing this comparison. I think buyers must realize how similar these imitations are to the authentic bags. Then they can make a choice that suits them, because no matter what quality of bag, there is a target audience. Just like the bag in *skydup* , I think it is more suitable for my rational consumption needs.
