Ficha Técnica e Modo de uso:

Informações do Produto: :Le Creuset and Staub make high-quality Enamel coated cast iron Dutch ovens but I prefer Le Creuset. Le Creuset has wider handles than Staub so you can get a better grip when moving these hot and heavy pots around. It can be difficult to monitor how dark the fond is getting when you are cooking with the black-coated Staub pot (fond is the cooked juices and bits on the bottom of the pot that make your braise taste good). The light, sandy-colored, finish on the interior of a Le Creuset pot makes it easier to monitor your food. The lid of most Staub pots has raised bumps that are supposed to help baste your food during cooking, however I haven't seen any difference. It's just not necessary.

I had both and I prefer Staub. The darker interior is so much more durable and it cooks better. I bought my Le Creuset Dutch oven first and threw it out after it chipped and I will never buy Le creuset again

I own several Le Creuset and Staub vessels. Love them both. For higher heat retention, searing, and more heavy duty use, I would use my Staub dutch oven.

I can put my Staub in the fireplace and cook with coals on top and bottom.

Staub is much better since it has a thicker body which can handle higher temp. And the black coating doesn’t turn yellow after uses

You can also see the inevitable scratches and pits that will turn brown, eventually rust, and destroy the pot. You can also see fond on the black bottom. Staub by mile.

Two different style of pots were compared. I worked for Le Creuset and have a lot of pieces but I also own a lot of Staub. I prefer Staub and have several with larger handles. Both are quality cookware. Personal preference is what puts one above the other.

C’est la même chose. Uniquement le creuset favorise la réaction de Maillard. La Staud favorise aussi une autre type de cuisson du fait du fond granuleux. Mais dire que le creuset est meilleur uniquement parce qu’on voit ce qu’on fait

Staub, pronounced correctly as “Stobe” (it rhymes with robe), is my choice hands down. The lid most definitely does work as advertised.

Staub is worth every penny. Love the cast iron interior which is less prone to damage, unlike Le Creuset. It’s also more visually appealing to me than Le Creuset. I keep my 4 qt. Staub out on the cooktop because it’s pretty and I use it all the time.

All your favorite points are esthetic based or about the lid or handles. What about functionality? In my experience owni g and using both, Staub cooks food better than Le Creuset.

Huge difference if you want heat retention . Staub’s thicker walls keep food hot for hours. It’s also a restaurant industry favorite because it’s tough and durable.

The white enameled interior of my Le Crueset looked like poo after 10 years of use. (Yours is new). My Staub remains beautiful. And yes, other reviewers have demonstrated the effectiveness of the self-basting lids on STAUB.

The nodles inside the lead (Staub) are great cause the condensation drips back onto the meat when stewing (keeps from drying out).

I own both, plus a few other brands. The only real difference for me is the flat lid, which you can cover in ice to help the steam stay in the pot, and improve the basting. As for the white interior - my cast iron pans are all black, and that has never hurt my perception of the cook.

Le Creuset has also a lifetime warranty ! I know it because after 40 years of use, they offer me a new one completely free in exchange of my old one who had few chips here and there! Go with Le Creuset!

I have some pieces of a vintage LE Creurset set that my mother bought when we lived in Europe between 1972-1979. They’re just sitting in my cabinets. After watching this, I might just pull them out and try to cook with them.

Bought a le creusete enameled pan one month ago. Worst cast iron I have ever owned and I own a lot. Used it fifteen times and put it away. If I put eight eggs in the pan only five eggs come back out. Three stay stuck in the pan.

So I was planning on buying on of these today and I just read online that they leach lead into the food and they’re really bad for you. They actually have warnings posted on the packaging

Own a large collection of both. Le Creuset has pieces with black enamel inside which I prefer. Their sand color interiors are simply not as durable and if used daily, they will look terrible over time. The Staub is a much better piece of cookware if comparing cooking surfaces only. Le Creuset just has more colors and styles. Really, there is no comparison. Staub is better to cook with. But i do love Le Creuset too!

Staub 的琺瑯比較容易破損。尤其常常煮水、煮米飯、煮綠豆湯、紅豆湯。

  Halum11

while i agree on the lighter color being superior, the le creuset lid handle knob on the model you showed is made of a material that can only withstand 390f but the staub one can withstand up to 500f. so because of this reason alone staub wins vs this specific le creuset model. i wont be able to bake bread with that plastic lack knob starting to melt. however, this knob is replaceable!

My choice? Overmont. Why? Cause that’s what I just bought cause i didn’t know about Staub or Le Creuset. Oh well, if it totally sucks I’ll turn it into a cookie jar and buy one of the French models.

I have Staub dutch ovens and a Griswold dutch oven. The Griswold has rings on the cover and the Staub has the bumps. Both work well is redistributing moisture while cooking. Also, the black knob on the Le Creuset is not rated for as high an oven temp as the Staub.

Sorry, I have both and disagree. LeCreuset’s handles are definitely more convenient but Staubs black interior is superior. LeCreusets light interior doesn’t stay pretty for long. It gets permanently discolored. Also I happen to find the lid “dots” actually do work well when slow cooking meats and the dots do continuously and evenly baste the meat while cooking.
