Informações do Produto: :Find out more about the Dragon fruit here on my website: https://www.inthekitchenwithmatt.com/how-to-grow-pitaya-from-cuttings-dragon-fruit In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, I will show you how to cut and prepare Dragon Fruit, Pitaya, or Pitahaya to eat. I will also do a dragon fruit taste test. Dragon Fruit is an exotic fruit that grows on a type of cactus and they are native to regions in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Northern South America and a few other South American Countries. They are cultivated in Southeast Asia, Florida, Australia, Florida, Southern California and many other tropical and subtropical regions. With care, you can even grow them here in Arizona! They are very nutritiously dense fruit with low calories, high fiber, and a variety of other vitamins and minerals. They provide several antioxidants and promote a healthy gut. There haven't been as many health studies done on this fruit, but so far those have been the findings. Dragon fruit has a mild sweet taste and looks kind of like a kiwi on the inside except white or red. It has the same texture as a kiwi, but not quite as juicy. They are expensive to buy here in the States but worth trying if you enjoy tasting exotic fruits! Buy my new mini-cookbook

Hi Matt! It was nice to learn from ur video. I got one today n i tasted it for the first time. I am from India n here we started getting some exotic fruits in metropolitan cities from last few years, so i was able to get this fruit today n tried, to me basically it tasted blend bt i kind of liked it. Its expensive here as well as compared to other fruits we get here, it was 50-150 INR (0.65-2$) per piece depending on sizes.

I used to live in vietnam (I was born there actually)
IIRC it was 10,000-20,000 dong $0.42-$0.85 per kilograms for the white-flesh. 30,000 dong $1.27 per kilograms for red-flesh.
The conversion rate was a bit different back then im not sure the exact cost in 2023. I prefer the red flesh one for more sweeter taste.

I saw this fruit at my grocery store and decided to give it a try. I’m saving it to bring to a friend’s place where we can try it together. I guess I got a bargain, compared to yours - I paid $1.25 for one just slightly small than yours.
