these are actually a clone of an old Yamaha generator, they were masters of the 2 stroke engine. I would give anything to get a decent RD 350, those could run circles around bikes with double the displacement.

It should be fine for computers, especially laptops. Computer components, whether laptop or desktop all run off of DC. The processor, the ram, the hard disk and CD drive and screen all are DC devices. The power brick which plugs into your laptop puts out only DC power.
The power supply in a desktop computer will have a full wave rectifier and smoothing caps and so none of the computer components should be harmed even with dirty electricity. The same is even more true for laptops.

Oh I have one these I used it when we had power cut and ran my phone charger and light on it and it sat in rain for 3 hours and it did nothing to it

I bought one from harbour freight for use on construction sites where i didnt want to drag the big 5k generator we have. Suprizingly it is super quiet, runs a long time on a tank of fuel, runs saws, drills, and lites. I found it to be amazing value in a small easy to move and store package.

I’ve been using this generator for 3 years now. I use it to lower lights tv and chargers in my ice fishing house. I keep waiting for the damn thing to blow up but it hasn’t yet. 100$ it’s a hell of a deal

In Australia little generators are quite popular! But a dirty sinewave until they have a decent load. My 2400 watt unit needs a minimum 300 watt load. Then sinewave looks a lot better but not pure Sinewave. Cheers from Australia

this is a very common design, i believe it was originally created by yamaha 30 odd years ago, and when yamaha discontinued it all the chinese brands realised how cheap they are to make and jumped on the opportunity.

You could use an LC filter to get rid of the harmonics. This wont change anything regarding the efficiency but at least you dont risk damaging any equipment

I actually have electric supremo golf cart ultra . And I always bring small generator just in case my golf cart runs out of battery. I just disconnect my battery, turn generator on and plug my 60Volts 96W ebike charger between AC input of generator to 60V DC output to my E golf cart, and my electric golf cart run on gasoline afterwards. My mini generator eliminates the range anxiety of using small light electric golf cart vehicle.

For 100 bucks it worth it even for a back up. It’s a good idea to have if you own a boat just in case ur batteries get too low keep one of these with a charger.

I remember years ago my dad and I both bought one of the Chicago Tools brand version of this generator from harbor freight. I think it was around 2009ish. Anyways mine worked one time and after a few months never started again. My fathers worked a couple of times and by the 2nd year it would start but it barely put enough power out to power a fan. Total garbage.

I am not an expert, these models are pretty common in Brazil with a lot of different brands. I think that we can increase the quality of the wave and reduce the noise with better capacitor and a circuit filter.
