I ordered and tried to install a new replacement 4wire engine speed sensor AI module - Siemans6ES7 1344GB62-0AB0. The key on the back of the replacement AI module faces at 7oclock, where as the old one faces at 4 oclock. Therefore the base plate will not except the new AI due to the key direction. How can I make this compatible?
Is the key direction on the base plate interchangeable?

Great video. Though check narration around 7:20min. "Light modules feed dark modules to the right." but then "Dark modules receive power from light module to the right." Should it be left?

Do we have to download any kind of program into the head module or remote I/O unit? How this remote I/O module is instructed to send and receive data from the main controller?

It should been mentioned that the first module after the base module should be a PM-E (Power Module), not a DI (Digital Input) that is shown in the video.

Since all the I/O devices are connected to the ET200SP, all the programs should be done on the ET200SP right?
Then why do we still need the S71500??

In one batch processing plant having 250 I/O can I use ET200SP with S7-1200Cpu?
Or S7-1200 1415 with traditional I/O cards will be enough.
How many exactly I/O ET1200SP supports?
S7-1200 1415 support 8 channel I/o only (DI DO AI AO).
Which will be more cost-effective?
System has some RTD module as well.

Can you use profibus for comms on the ET200SP or is it only profinet?

Hi.currently we are using ET 200 SP 4ch, 2A, DO card (18nos.) With Profinet IM module.
Everything is working fine the only problem is the heating. When all DOs are turn ON the PLC temperature I checked was 45 to 48 deg. C.
Is this a normal? Because even with this temperature my operation is working fine.
Load on each module is also less than 5A.

I have a problem I need help
I am connecting modbus RTU with ET200SP of S7 1500
I use 3 ET200SP stations, each station has 1 Modbus RTU module PtP 6ES7 137-6AA01-0BA0 to connect up to 10 Flowmeters
I declare 3 MBCommLoad functions to declare the connection port for each Modbus module, but in the program, it does not run.
And if I only use 1 MBCommLoad function for 1 Modbus module, the connection is OK.
I hope you can help me with the solution so that I can use all 3 modbus RTU modules.

Is there limit to connect no of remote I / O.?
2 - for given nos of rote I / O and plcs in different locations how can decide following issues :-
Switch specifications, Server specifications and data warehouse specification based on phenomena that I will save whole Data in database for further analysis

I am reaching out to kindly ask for your assistance regarding an issue I encountered with a Siemens ET 200SP Base Unit and module replacement. Specifically, I have a challenge with the coding element (keying plug) on the Base Unit (6ES7954-8LE03-0AA0), which prevents me from installing a different module (6ES7131-6BH01-0BA0).
It appears the coding element on the Base Unit is not aligned for the new module, and I am unsure how to safely remove or adjust it without causing damage. If you could provide guidance, a step-by-step explanation, or any relevant resources (like a video or manual), I would be extremely grateful.
