All I heard was 2k screaming at me in every application and no low end... I would take every other mic tested over this one and HPF when needed...

Notice how the nasal frequencies are almost non intrusive at the singing example.
Definitely will shine for live uses.
Great video as always <3

SE Electronics V7 please. The V7 is just so crisp and for the price is my choice.

The nasal aspect of the microphone is a little off-putting. You really nailed the use-case for the microphone. It’s a stand-mount microphone for stage use. The rejection of the drumkit is a very specific advantage to the microphone and it does control the plosives at lip-touch distances well—something that nearly all super-cardioid microphones struggle with. As a long-time (decades) live sound engineer, I actually prefer the SM58 or e835 in almost every case. My own “signature” live sound mix is e835 or e935 centric. The Sennheisers are great on stage, lousy in the studio. What is really telling is how insanely bad the sound is from this microphone when cupped.

Mic prices becoming absolutely ridiculous!
Go and buy 3 sE V7s
Or buy one and invest the $200. In some other gear!
Let’s stop this overpriced nonsense!

When are we getting the podcastage album that has all of the music of every microphone you reviewed.

So many plosives tests, and not a single sponsorship from Domino’s Pizza.
What a missed opportunity for them.

It seemed to me that the nexadyne 8 is similar to telefunken 80
and maby would be to e945, beta87 and other ringing mics??

Try the new ATS99 from Audio Technica. You may find it a pleasant surprise

Anyone else replay the U87 test over and over with this one?! They sound almost identical, am I crazy?! Shure is working with magic now

I don’t think this comparison is legit if the Behringer XM8500 wasn’t even invited to the party. Also, the V7 still reigns supreme. :)

ciao Bandrew sympathic Question : why do you repeat tih Neumann microphone "Hello Neumann !" you make me laugh very much
April 29 2025
Oh my gosh!!! Phil Collins mic AAAAHHHHH
Also the Telefunken (I have had my eye on a custom one of those). They are gorgeous.
I also like the Shure Dualdyne more than this one being tested.
I would say those are my top favourites and of course the Neumann at the end songs pretty great as well!!!

If I had to say something nice; I liked how it sounded on acoustic guitar...
Thanks for saving me money!

Thanks for the great comparison. Could you also upload reviews of JBL microphones?

You, my friend, are one of - if not THE - best reviewer in the whole damn town

The best Nexadyne 8 C review. The comparison helps a lot. Absolutely NXD8C is the most natural for close mic vocal.

I too like the V7 a lot. I need to ask, what do you mean by "air frequencies" when i google it they talk about VHF and UHF frequencies? Thanks for a great and helpful video. I was thinking of upgrading our main vocal mic but I still like the V7. I was also looking at the Beta 58, I will have to find a test comparison for that one.

I have all my setup done, i am not going to buy whatever he shows in his videos. Yet subscribed. Cz i love this man and his energy and talking skill. He gives me the vibes of a funny big brother i always missed. I just want to hear him talk. I just do my dishes while he talks. Makes the job easy.

The nexadynes are probably Shure’s answer to Sennheisers new MD series (MD435 / 445)
