Hi I have a stye or what i thoight was a stye and now i think its a chalazion. Its ony opper eyelid amd there is a pea sized bump and a small white dot imside my upper lid, plus its a little red and swollen. This burns and itches some. Today my client wrote me a script for erythromycin ointment. I thought she said on the outside but inside makes more sense since there isnt an outside bump or pimple. Would it be ok? Also how long is your vision blurred? Thank you so very much for your time and help

Thank you, this helps! If I do it at night before bed, how can I keep the ointment on my cornea and not sinking down behind it? (I have SIADH, and Fuchs, So I need to keep the sodium ointment on my cornea itself, to keep the liquid levels down and not have distorted vision.)

What if I have a stye on the inside of my upper eyelid? Would I put the ointment on the inside of the upper lid instead of the lower?
