So, according to the Ancient One of 616, and ProfessorHulk, when you go back in time, the past becomes your future and the present, becomes your past. By that logic, if you went back in time, it would automatically start a new branch off of the limb.
Unlike Back to the Future and other films, this would mean that you cannot change your present by going to the past. Because your former present is now your past and your former past is the present.
With that in mind, it would not be possible for Steve Rogers to go back in time, and then grow old into his present. His former present would be his past. He would not be able to bide his time, and then give the shield to Falcon. The events that happened in what is now Steve Rogers past do not become his future. The future would be unwritten in a new timeline branch.
So the whole premise of going back in time in Avengers End Game to change the future is not possible by their own established rules.

I watched it twice… the first time I didn’t get how meta it was (I know but come on)…. The second time, I realized Paradox is literally a caricature OF DISNEY which was why he was so cringe and flamboyant. Most everything else was meta about them saving the marvel universe or the old fox universe.

If he went to the point Logan was dying and saved him, it merely creates a new branch where a variant Logan survives. However the main timeline with the main Logan who died still happens because that’s how timelines work

But Deadpool says “in his world Wolverine is a hero” so where’s that Wolverine? The main Logan is in the main Fox time line as the anchor being, and there are obviously other Logan’s in other branches. But where’s the Logan in Deadpool branch? We never meet him, the Logan that gets referred to is THE Logan, which is shown in the flash backs/forwards. So is Deadpool referring to that Logan because he has meta awareness, or is he talking about the Logan from his specific branch?

Appreciate the video as always! I feel the answer could be a whole lot simpler. Either Deadpool’s fourth wall-breaking awareness simply allows for all this to make sense since, hey, the movie “Logan” came out however many years ago so why not (added to some TVA-knows-things logic on their end)… or… I mean, is there anything I’ve missed that suggests timelines can’t be ahead of or behind one another by a little bit?

10:45 Doesn’t Deadpool 2’s entire plot around Cable, alongside the return of the many that died in that last movie (X-Force besides Domino, Vanessa, etc.) go against this idea as well? Continuing further on your skepticism behind a living Logan in Deadpool’s reality, there is the kid who recognizes Wolverine once they plop back into the car department. Now, something could have happened to that Wolverine, but doesn’t the kid who operates outside Deadpool’s own awareness recognizing Wolverine imply that there at least has been a Wolverine in Deadpool’s reality (whatever the circumstances behind his existence is). As such, it wouldn’t be too far to assume that Laura may also already exist, though there isn’t an explicit comment for her like there is for “Wolvie”, so perhaps that’s up for further questioning.

About that point about Absolute Points in Time: In X-Men "97, Cable was keep on trying to stop the attack on Genosha. But everytime he tried that, he was pulled away before preventing it. It would make sense Deadpool would be pulled away everytime he tries to prevent the happenings of Logan.

So Logan is the main timeline anchor he dies then no anchor. I take it Deadpool is in a branch of the main timeline or maybe the main one. Once the "worst" Logan is found and all the events of D&W would it be a new branch that saves the main timeline. Would that branch reconnect to the main timeline to heal it sorta. Does the main timeline need the anchor or can a branch have the anchor.

The reality that many of us are becoming aware of is that there is only One consciousness. Who many call the One Infinite Creator. That each and every thing in Creation and beyond is a part of. We are all fractals of the Creator expressing itself in an infinite amount of was. I understand this concept is extremely hard for many to grasp. Trunk = The marvel universe
Branch = X-men universe
Twig = Deadpool universe
But... in some tree if you prune a branch but left a twig, later the twig grow bigger and become the new branch.

Okay can someone clarify for me: multiverse are different locations, timelines are different sequence of events. Different timelines can exist in one universe. The audience can view a story that takes place in an alternate universe and/or an alternate timeline. Marvel uses the same nomenclature to describe either. So basically, the names (like 616 or 10005) can refer to a universe or a timeline. Right?

I enjoyed the flick. It’s interesting that in the flippantly bad way that Dead Pool & Wolverine deal with the the Muliverse and the Timeline, and how it doesn’t actually matter, we can infer that, it doesn’t matter because Deadpool exists very far off on the very fringes of his branch, which is so far from the other main MCU that that is why it doesn’t matter. We also aren’t supposed to think about all the fourth wall breaks and all of the knowledge that Deadpool has in regard to the other elements of Marvel and Fox. But it just might end up that Deadpool is some sort of cosmic being. In canon, how else (besides being a cosmic being) would he have knowledge of other realities and be able to use this knowledge to “educated wish” himself to altering things…
